Hello, I am so excited by this Fluent Community project and so eager to leave Buddyboss rabbit hole.
But for this I need to find a solution for installing paid membership.
For the moment I use memberpress with BuddyBoss and I'm looking for solutions to do the same but with Fluent Community. (with Fluent CRM)
I started a test website and I exported/imported the users from my operational website (BuddyBoss/Memberpress) into the test (FluentCommunity) website.
That's a lot of work needing me to update the users' status manually.
I set up portal access settings to give access to selected user roles and I'm changing the role of the users who cancel their membership.
Any other idea to do the same but in a better way ?
(I thought to write a plugin reading active memberpress members and updating the users in the test website)

Christian Vanhenten Have you looked into wpFusion? This may take care of your membership usuage.

Debo Ogunrinde,I'll have a look..
But is wpfusion FluentCommunity friendly
or
if it can change user role from memberpress info, it would also be good

Christian Vanhenten, Not sure if it can change user role from memberpress but it can apply tags to wp user roles (wpfusion user role add on). wpFusion lead developer (@Jack Arturo) said he will "look into" fcommunity after it comes out of beta in case of changes.

wpfusion can add/remove tags, it would be great if portal access could be controled through tags
(I haven't seen that wpfusion can change user roles)

Christian Vanhenten, exactly what I want too

Christian Vanhenten, I would agree...using tags would be cleaner than user roles (wpfusion way)

Hey just wanted to echo this sentiment - would be awesome to have!

I toyed around in the past with using Restrict Content Pro to manage membership subscriptions and user roles, and using the "WP User Role Based Tag Mapping" feature from Fluent CRM to automatically manage the tags. Initial testing showed promise, but I had to move onto other projects and it never went near production.

A Fluent solution for this (maybe tied into Paymattic subscriptions?) would be incredible!

I found a way around through playing with roles (user roles).
