From my experience, this is what you should expect when trying to use the page templates. The entire point of FluentCommunity is that it is a completely siloed independent portal. It runs completely separate from Wordpress, has it's own styles and scripts, works as single page application. It can only do all of this and be consistent and reliable because it is separate from your wordpress site.
By using custom pages, you are no longer in the siloed portal. You are just on a normal wordpress page and are loading in the community elements. These pages do not play by the fluent community portal rules. They load in all of your theme styles and scripts, all of your other plugin styles and scripts. There is an infinite combination of plugins that any one user could have on their site and there's just literally no way that WPMN can guarantee consistency when they have zero idea what plugins and themes you're running.
This is not a bug. It doesn't need a fix. If you are really really certain you want to make wordpress pages look like FCOM pages, then you need to be very careful about what theme you are using and what other plugins you are running.
It's the exact same when people post that shortcodes for other plugins aren't working in the fluent portal and say that's a bug, but it's not, it's by design.
I would advise that you do not try to conflate your wordpress website and your fluent community portal. They are two different systems, platforms, technologies, infrastructures. They are so so different and trying to smash them together somehow is just going to create a whole bunch of headaches like you're already experiencing.

Just wanne say, In some cases its needed. And for shore possible. Why do they then give the option for that layout?

David Carton oh for sure it's 100% needed. Custom pages inside the community is completely necessary. Also all your integrations with booking and cart, page restrictions etc, definitely needed. My post was purely to set expectations, that trying to put Fcom into Wordpress or Wordpress into Fcom is going to bring with it many issues, just by the nature of the design. They are not designed to work together, like water and oil, so these little issues you're experiencing, I'm just saying they are not necessarily "bugs".

My question is more about the UI/UX approach: Is it better to embed the form page inside the community using a FluentCommunity Page Template, or keep it as a separate external WordPress page? Given what Ross mentioned about custom pages breaking the portal's isolated environment, I'm trying to figure out the cleanest way to handle this without disrupting the community experience.
Ramsis Kasis I make Wordpress page. Then under layout I use fluent community full width. And then I edit it with elementor. Or your page builder. I would suggest also on mobile to give some space under your container. Better scroll then. And if the page must not be public, restrict it. 🫡
As soon as you start adding other themes and plugins into the mix, you run the risk of conflicts. Usually fixable with a bit of CSS. I've been using Astra as my theme of choice, and it's been pretty smooth.
