Hamburger menu not working on mobile for non-portal pages
Is it just me!??! Can other community members check this, please?
Conditions:
- You're hosting a community on a primary domain (not a subdomain)
- Using a "FluentCommunity Full Width Frame" for non-portal pages
- Log in to your community on mobile and go to any non-portal page (Homepage, About page, etc.)
For me, the hamburger menu is not working in these conditions. (It does work when I'm on portal pages, i.e., Community, Spaces, etc.) So, trying to see if this is something that needs to be fixed on my end or a general bug. TIA! <3
I tested it on both my production site that is running an older version of FluentCommunity and on my dev site that is running on the latest version. No problems with either.
Thomas OatesΒ Oouuu! Interesting! So, looks like the issue is on my end. Thanks for checking this for me, Thomas! I appreciate it! πβ¨
The GSΒ Have you checked your browser console for errors when you tap on the menu? I suspect there may be some errors in there that may give a clue to what is happening.
Thomas OatesΒ Okay, so after reading your comment, I came to know that something like this can be done on mobile. π Now, I'm going through YouTube tutorials to see how I can enable browser console inspection on my Android phone. Once again, thanks so much for sharing this, Thomas. I think this is really gonna be helpful. ππ
Side note: I've raised a support ticket for this particular issue for now.
The GSΒ are you running a lot of other plugins on your site? Might be something small and hidden in the way of the button blocking the pointer events or something?
Can you select and interact with keyboard controls? And are there are any errors logged in your browser console?
Jesse BenjaminΒ Uummm! I'd say I'm not using a lot of other plugins, but now that you said this, I'm thinking of custom coding I've implemented on non-portal pages. Thank you for this trigger. π€β¨
I'll reach out to the support team to see where I went wrong. I appreciate your help, Jesse! πβ¨
The GSΒ most welcome! If you'd like some eyes on the frontend feel free to send a link and I can have a quick look at the CSS for you π
Jesse BenjaminΒ That's so kind of you, Jesse! π€πβ¨
For now, I've raised a support ticket, but I'll reach out to you if there's anything. Once again, thank you so much! π«Ά
