FluentForm Registration > FluentCRM Double Opt-in > FluentCommunity approval & log-in- Workflow Issues

While testing the registration & approval automation features of FluentStack, I ran into an issue with the workflow when using the free versions. Although I have the pro versions, I’d like to showcase the process to new clients first (and upsell them later 😉).

Goal

• A visitor submits a registration form (FluentForms).

• They must confirm their email via double opt-in (DOI).

• Once confirmed, they are added to a space in FluentCommunity and receive a welcome email with a portal link.

How I Set It Up

• Created a new FluentForm.

• Activated FluentCRM integration/feed.

• Activated FluentCommunity integration.

• Enabled DOI in FluentCRM settings.

Issue

• The visitor receives the DOI email as expected.

• Until they confirm, their status remains "Pending" in FluentCRM—which is correct.

• However, they are still added to the FluentCommunity space immediately, even without confirming their email.

Attempted Solution

I tried two different approaches:

  1. Disable FluentCommunity Integration in Form Settings

This prevents users from being added to the space before confirming.

  1. Create an Automation in FluentCRM

• Trigger: New form submission (status: Pending).

• Action: Add the user to FluentCommunity only after they confirm their DOI email.

This works—users are now only added after confirmation. 🎉

Remaining Problem

With this setup, users are not logged in automatically after confirmation.

Normally, the direct FluentCommunity integration in FluentForms seems to handle auto-login, but FluentCRM automations do not.

Possible Workaround

It seems I need to enable "Send WordPress Welcome Email for New WP Users", but this adds extra steps for the user, which I'd prefer to avoid.

Question

Does anyone know how to auto-log in users immediately after they confirm their DOI email—without requiring them to take additional steps?

Maybe use Double Opt-in from the Fluent Forms. We have Double optin option in FluentForms.

Shahjahan Jewel Thanks, but DOI is only available in FluentForms Pro, correct? Please keep in mind what I mentioned earlier:

"Although I have the pro versions, I’d like to showcase the process to new clients first (and upsell them later 😉)."

This means I’m specifically looking for a solution that works within the limitations of the free versions, at least for demonstration purposes.

Sascha Liem will check workflow tomorrow and get back to you.

Shahjahan Jewel I'm still struggeling to establish the required workflow using the free versions. Did you find some time to check a compliant (double optin required for ALL EU-admins) workflow?

Sascha Leem

Shahjahan Jewel Any news on this?
