FluentCommunity vs MemberPress for Courses.
I see the Fluent Community feature as outstanding and a major advancement over the competition...period. For courses, I am still sitting on the fence. I would prefer to reduce plugins and gravitate to FluentCommunity. My issue is apples to apples comparison. MemberPress offers subscriptions, Membership Management, coupons, affiliate management, reminders, rules, group management, Courses, lessons, gradebooks, assignments, quizzes, curriculum, certificates, and more. MemberPress offers nothing like Fluent for collaboration with respect to communities / chat / and elements such as that. If MemberPress to offer Chat and spaces...it would pale in comparison to fluent. On the other hand, MemberPress LMS is very advanced. My current thoughts are to stick with a combined Memberpress (memberships / LMS / and other areas) and Fluent for Communities / CRM / Projects. Your Thoughts....please....Your thoughts.
It depends... If your main focus is the community, and building the community, then go for the community with courses added as a bonus.
If you don't plan on building a community or does not need that for selling your courses, go with the other solutions. There is nothing worse than a forum or a community with no action. So if the community is not important for you then don't use it simply to cut down number of plugins.
There is no main focus...it is part of a group of functions. Membership management, courses, tests (and certificates), gradebooks, etc are all critical. The communities and interactive chat are critical. There are also several other moving parts. So.....If Fluent has on a roadmap the goal of competing with LMS systems...then communities is outstanding.....but if courses and training is sort of a side add on...then other providers (such as memberpress must be leveraged). The Communities are not for selling product or courses...it is separate.
