FluentCommunity Mobile App Devs - Meet with LazyCoders 👋

Meet with Noor Khan, The CEO of LazyCoders. They have been working on the FluentCommunity Mobile app for the last several months.

I have known Noor Khan for many years, and they specialize in Mobile Apps. I think they are developing apps for big corps for more than 10 years.

They recently launched a common app in App Store, Play Store and you can try it from their community: https://lazycoders.co/community/

Please feel free to ask him any questions regarding the app, the future plan or anything related.

Please note: LazyCoders is an independent 3rd party dev team and WPManageNinja is not directly associate with them.

Regarding next release: The follower module is done and we could release today as planned but, they are just optimizing a few database queries for large scale communities. Hoping to release early next week. (If you want to try the beta, I may provide the beta tomorrow).

Lukasz Adamczyk

Very interesting news!

Natascha Vantuykom

That is great news! Noor Khan when will it be available for our communities? And does it have push notifications? And what will be the price? As I can see I can have a 14 day trial, but there is no pricing info on how I can keep using it...

Noor Khan

Natascha Vantuykom Hello, We will provide you all who sign up now with a beta license, which will run the app just like the premium version. Once we launch the premium, we will have special deals for all our beta users.

Natascha Vantuykom

Noor Khan great. So I can install the zipfile on my site as any other plugin?

Noor Khan

Natascha Vantuykom yes, please install as a plugin. you'll then get instructions inside settings to download the app and scan the connection QR code to connect your community with the app.

D.B. Brooks

Very cool 😎

Jéjé immobilier

I have this message. What can I do ?

D@vid

Regarding next release : I’m looking forward with some anticipation to the fixes for SEO (very important) and for the Twitter thumbnails. Thank you.

This is amazing! I’ve installed the app and I’ve joined LazyCoders community to test the app.

Shahjahan Jewel when WPManangeNinja community will be available in the app? Do you have the QR code to share?

Shahjahan Jewel

Nasser-eddine BENAZIZA We will add the app support for this community after they launch publicly.

i checked from multiple location, working for me. But, let us double check and quite a few of you guys reported the same.

D@vid

Sella Yoffe With Perplexity Comet (AI)

Shahjahan Jewel

D@vid I think the site is blocked from your antivirus so all browser will show the same error.

Noor Khan

D@vid we checked from multiple locations, but was not able to reproduce the issue. It is what Shahjahan Jewel mentioned, probably your antivirus is blocking the site

D@vid

Noor Khan I’m aware of that, thank you.
However, there must be a reason for the blockage. I believe this should concern you, as you may lose potential clients who won’t bother to alert you. As soon as my protections allow access, I will let you know. 👍

Noor Khan

D@vid It definitely does! We are looking into it as I type. Hopefully will have an answer over the weekend

Noor Khan

Hello everyone,

Thank you, Shahjahan Jewel  , for the generous introduction, ’m truly excited to join this thriving community. Before anything, I want to express my gratitude and appreciation for the Fluent and WP Manage Ninja teams: I’m a longtime user of their plugins and tools, and personally love how they’ve elevated the entire WordPress experience for so many of us.

As Shahjahan mentioned, we’re on the brink of launching a closed beta mobile app for Fluent Community. This app is designed to bring your community everywhere, with real-time sync, notifications, custom branding (upcoming), and many more - all in your pocket, whether you’re on iOS or Android. We believe it’s a powerful extension of what Fluent already offers and the start of an exciting new chapter for all of us.

As I’ve shared before, this is just the beginning of our collaboration, there’s so much potential for what we can build together. Your feedback is invaluable. If you’re curious to explore, please sign up for the beta, start using the app, and let us know what you think. Every suggestion makes the app stronger, faster, and more useful for the entire community.

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Join our community at lazycoders.co. This will be our main hub for updates, support, and early discussions.
  2. I’ll post a step-by-step guide in our lazycoders.co community to walk you through beta access, keep an eye for updates there.
  3. Please do share your experiences, pain points, and feature requests—everything will directly influence our roadmap. Help us shape the future.

For everyone who joins us during beta:
When Fluent Community Mobile launches commercially, we’ll have a special deal specially just for you. A small gesture from LazyCoders team  of saying thanks for your early support and trust.

Once again, deep gratitude to Sahjahan, the entire WP Manage Ninja team, and all of you for welcoming me here. I’m looking forward to learning, growing, and building something remarkable - together.

Cheers!
Noor

Noor Khan
Hi,
I look forward to visiting your website and exploring your work once the security alerts from my protection tools have been cleared.

Charlotte

Noor Khan I can't create an account in your community - the 2FA email never arrived & there's no "resend" option, so I'm just stuck at that step. Suggestions?

David Scurlock

I suspect most have more then a community on their site ie blog, shop, etc. Is this app just for a community. For me to submit an app to Google and ios, I would need to turn the entire site into an app. Maybe you can clear this up. Thanks

Noor Khan

David Scurlock , this is a common app that supports multiple installations. You do not need to submit to google or app store. All you need to do is ask your users to download the app and connect using the QR code.

There is an option in settings, where you can choose if you want to display the "Mobile App" button in the portal frontend for your users or not.

Saying that, we do have a product coming up in October, which allows you to create white label app right from your WordPress admin dashboard. It's called "Appza" and you can check out the features by clicking here

David Scurlock

Noor Khan thank you. I will wait for the white label solution. Does appza plan on supporting FluentCart.com?

Noor Khan

David Scurlock Yes, we do. At this time we are working on Woo, Fluent Community and TutorLMS. In our roadmap we have FluentCart, LifterLMS and LearnDash

La Tribu Diving

Noor Khan I have installed the Appza plugin and when activating it, FC is deactivated and gives a server error. I deactivate it and start FC again. I had to delete plugins.

Noor Khan

Hello Buceo Madrid , Appza is still not released, the one we have in WordPress now is just for approval purposes. We will have it out for beta by end of October.

Jakson A

Noor Khan Shahjahan Jewel major congrats on this HUGE announcement. I can't imagine the work that has gone in to this - all I know is: given FluentCommunity is a game-changing plugin to create communities and courses on WordPress, this addition will, without doubt, take it to a new and extraordinary level. Grazie mille 🙏

Noor Khan

Jakson A Thank you so much for your kind words. We are looking forward to the journey ahead and get all your feedbacks to create a fantastic experience for all.

Thanks for this, I've joined the trial and the Lazycoders community, looking forward to finding out more about this!

Emma Loggins

Very Interested - I have two sites that are still on Buddy Boss because of the mobile app - itching to get fully away from that platform -so looking VERY forward to this! :)

Noor Khan

Emma Loggins Thanks, hope we can deliver as expected :)

Ramsis Kasis

Noor Khan thanks for a great job
i am trying to scan qr code from my staging its not working it tells me that i am scanning incorrect qr code

Bryan William

Noor Khan

What's the difference between this one and the one that will lunch in October? Do we need to get both of them?

Can I skip this one and buy the white label one?

Or buy this one and forget the white label one?

David Scurlock

Bryan William I will hold out for the white label since I would like to turn my entire wp site into an app then be able to submit to app stores, however, im not quite sure about the submission process or how that works.

Pierre

Noor Khan If Appza is for the whole Website to be transformed as an app... Does your FluentCommunity app won't overlap ? Or it will behave like an add-on.

My question to be clear is : I have a whole website, not just a community. Do I need Appza AND FluentCommunity Mobile ?

Thank you

Noor Khan

Pierre Debraux Not really. Fluent Community app will always work as a multi site common app. If you want white label solution, an app with your own name, brand, logo, splash screen, full push notification etc. that is when you'll need Appza.

You can have fluent community app if you don't want to turn the entire website mobile and want just the community access through app.

Hope this helps answer your question.

Ryan Alier

Noor Khan ETA on Appza?

Noor Khan

Ryan Alier end of Oct to mid Nov. Working on it everyday! :)

Jeffrey Young

Awesome! Noor Khan  will embedded videos play in course view?

Ryan Alier

Jeffrey Young None of my embeds on posts are showing.

Oscar Alvarado

I downloaded the app with the QR code and added your community, but when I wanted to comment it tells me I'm not logged in to the page. I did it through Google, but the app doesn't give me the option.

Noor Khan

Oscar Alvarado we are still working on the social login on the mobile app, we will have update on this in our next release.

Debo Ogunrinde

Noor Khan How long does it take to send the 2FA Code? I tried to register but it's been over 15 minutes that it says "A verification code has been sent to "myemail@gmail.com". Please provide the code below:...what to do?

Natascha Vantuykom

Debo Ogunrinde check spam, mine was in there

Debo Ogunrinde

Natascha Vantuykom First place I checked....I have retried to sign up again (3x)...no luck!

Noor Khan

Debo Ogunrinde having an issue with the email server were using, working on it now. should be fixed shortly. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Debo Ogunrinde

Noor Khan thanks for your feedback...will check later...

Noor Khan

Debo Ogunrinde we have updated the issue, it should work now. please do let us know if you're still having issues with email

Debo Ogunrinde

Noor Khan I am in...thanks!

David Scurlock

People are coming out of the woods. I have never seen the board light up so quickly. 🤣

Noor Khan

David Scurlock we are glad to get the attention :)

Now have to make sure we keep up and improve the app

Patrick Anderson

Yes! Super excited for this! This is one of the things our community keeps asking us about. I'll be very interested to learn what the pricing will be.

Hello!

The App is running smoothly, for me its maybe a test version, white label with be the nuts but it's doing the job.
My review for now:

I successfully installed it on my site and the QR code let in from the first time. Good for my users!

But:

It certainly lacks the UX/UI. Its basic and the fonts are not aligned with the one that i have in my community.

Also it lags so much, it really needs 20-26 secs to load!

The Push notification does not work in my posts, i don't know if i have to do something my self.

I also have a premium plugin for Events but it doesnt recognise it so Events are dead inside the app.

Also i do not have leaderboard i want to know how i can change the bar that sits down.

Notifications does not have a ring or a red signal to inform me that i have a notification, i need to go and push the bell to see if i have new notification.

That's all, using the platform for about 2 hours!

There is no chat integration when you use better messages!

Noor Khan

Ioannis Glossopoulos Thanks for the feedback. We will put all these in our ticketing system and work on them. We will definitely start updating the app from next week with progressive fixing of the issues reported.

Gerard Godin

By the time I finally get my 2FA code they're expired..

Noor Khan

Gerard Godin We are truely sorry for the delay, there were so many requests at once that our email service provider could not keep up. I apologize again.

David Scurlock

Noor Khan have you tried Amazon SNS? I think you can send lots of emails dirt cheap also.

Noor Khan

David Scurlock Thanks for the suggestion. We currently just switched to our another provider and seems to be working great. Will definitely try out SNS

David Scurlock

Noor Khan you can connect Amazon sns via fluentsmtp. Then you have to setup your server info on Amazon.

Patrick Anderson

Trying the beta now and it is great. Is there a way to switch to dark mode?

Noor Khan

Patrick Anderson we will have dark mode support soon

Fit Lehrer

Noor Khan  We have tried out the app and noticed it is called Fluent Community Mobile, which users must download and then scan a code to access our community. Could you please confirm if this setup is only for testing purposes, or if our end users will also need to follow the same process once we purchase the app?

Noor Khan

Hello Fit Lehrer, this is a common app for any fluent community where users can add and access multiple communities through a single app. The admin of the sites has to download the plugin and set it up, users only have to download+install the app and scan the QR from the site(s) to connect with multiple communities through just one app.

If you're looking for an app just for your community with custom logo, app name, splash screen, brand color and more. In that case, we are launching another product this October that gives you your own app without writing a single line of mobile app code. It is a mobile app building platform, where you drag and drop to make your own app and deploy in your account in app or play store.

For more information on this, please click here and check out "Appza"

Ryan Alier

Noor Khan This is what we want!!!!

Noor Khan

Ryan Alier Working on it :)

Fit Lehrer

Noor Khan Thank you for your quick response, this is exactly what we were looking for. We’re looking forward to the release — is there a way to be added to a waiting list so that we can be informed once the offer becomes available, or even get early access?

Ryan Alier

Noor Khan In my community, I have been using the embed video / custom iframe using the < video > tag.

None of these are currently being shown on the mobile app. Its basically empty with just the title and description of the post.

Noor Khan

Ryan Alier Thanks for bringing it to our attention. We will look into it and provide a solution as quickly as possible.

Where are you embedding the video from? Let us know the source please

Ryan Alier

Noor Khan Thank you kind sir!

Jasper Mulder

Ryan Alier Looks good! I want to show it to my members as soon as possible so they can use it.

Noor Khan

Ryan Alier can you please confirm that embed from youtube or vimeo is working but iframe embed is not?

Ryan Alier

Noor Khan I only tested using < video > inside the iframe embed option.

Tried to join your community but it asked for a 2FA authorization and I never got it.

I finally got the 2FA emails. They all came in at once (I tried 3 times). So you can disregard.

Mithyll Dave

Super Excited ... Looking forward to serving our community with a mobile app too.

Jéjé immobilier

Wow, congratulations to the team!

I've been waiting for this news for a long time. My community isn't thriving because there's no mobile app with push notifications. I hope this will change things. I can't wait to see the improvements and have my own app.

Olex Lipinski

I'm tested app as a school platform with community features. Here’s what doesn’t seem to work at first glance:

  1. Chat support is needed (this has already been mentioned before). This is the most important feature for a mobile app. Fluent Community isn’t really a “community” for people who don’t check the website daily and don’t like email.
  2. Slow synchronization during loading.
  3. All links inside Community posts open in an external browser.
  4. We use Vimeo video hosting with copy protection, which is allowed for playback only on our website. At the moment, I don’t see how to enable playback inside the mobile app. If this can’t be resolved, the mobile app loses its purpose.
  5. Embedded external HTML illustrations and presentations (for example, Canva) are completely ignored and not displayed.
  6. Navigation issues – sometimes it’s impossible to go back, and there’s no way to know where I currently am in the app. The only solution is to restart the app.
  7. When opening Community in a mobile browser, everything works perfectly. The only thing missing is message notifications. If this could be implemented (for example, via a Telegram group), it would be completely sufficient for me.

Noor Khan

Hello Olex Lipinski ,

Thanks for being part of our beta group and helping us improve the App.

  1. Chat support is on the works, will be added soon.
  2. Working on load time
  3. This is by design. Should we change it?
  4. Can you please elaborate? At this time we support Vimeo and Youtube. I am little confused on what is needed here
  5. Yes, we will add this in a week or two
  6. Please provide me with some specific example, so we know the pattern and fix it everywhere. This is definitely a major user experience issue.
  7. Are you referring to the Fluent Community responsive design when opened using a browser? In that case, it has to be handled by the Fluent team, which I am sure they would be happy to.

Hope this helps. Please reach out if you have more observations. We truly appreciate the feedbacks,

Olex Lipinski

Noor Khan

Thank you for your attention to the comments, some clarify:

(3) If we give a link in the post or course materials to another post or materials inside the Community, we simply copy the address bar of the browser and paste. Will be correct if the mobile application distinguishes the internal link from the external one and opens only external links in the browser.

(4) The Vimeo paid service has a customizable function for the content that needs to be protected from copying, the setting looks like this:
Privacy Setup: Where can your videos be embedded?
Only on next sites I choose:
https://siteone.com
https://sitetwo.com

(6) If you go to the course through the "Courses" menu, everything works. If you put a separate course in the side menu, an error occurs when you click (Fig. 1) and after the error there is no way to return, except to restart the application (Fig. 2)

Olex Lipinski

Noor Khan More about Vimeo and application security: your application will be bought by those who sell content (courses). Those who sell courses always protect content.

Noor Khan

Olex Lipinski Thanks so much for the detailed reply. We will definitely work on the content protection you mentioned. We really appreciate you pointing this out

Noor Khan

Olex Lipinski I am tagging our QA head here so this is not missed Nusrat Jahan

Morgan McArthur

Noor Khan ok so this FluentCommunity app is based on your app account not my own app account.

So I cant have my own brand name and logo on the app.

The way you explain how the FluentCommunity app is going to work is like how Circle has their setup with multiple brand communities being able to be accessed in one site/app?

You say you are releasing another product this October called Appza.

I have three questions...

  1. So how would Appza be synced with FluentCommunity?
  2. Can Appza be built to look exactly like my FluentCommunity mobile website?
  3. Sounds like it can be a lot of work to try and build ones own app using Appza even if there is no code involved. Could Appza build the FluentCommunity app you building just that I have my own app store account and branding?

Noor Khan

Hello Morgan McArthur,

Yes, this is a common shared app across all communities who choose to use it. There are a lot of smaller communities who don't want to go through the hasell of getting app & play store account, maintaining them and through their approval process. Thus this solution works better for them.

For larger communities, who wants their own app and do not mind maintaining app and play store account, our solution is "Appza", as you mentioned.

Now to answer your questions...

  1. Appza sits inside wordpress as a plugin and you can drag drop components, customize color, shape, border etc. of components then create your own layout per screen.
  2. You can have your own app logo, splash screen etc as well.
  3. Once you're satisfied with the result in the web simulator, you can then check with our preview up.
  4. When satisfied , you can build the app for both iOS and Android, no need for xcode or expensive hardwares. We take care of everything and provide you with the files.
  5. We even push it automatically to app store if you supply us with appropriate access.
  6. Please note that, you will need your own account in app and play store.

As Appza is sitting inside WordPress where you have your Fluent Community, it communicates with FC through it's rest API and syncs all data.

Yes, You can use Appza to make it look similar to your fluent community.
It will not be a lot of work if you choose to. It comes with predefined templates that you can choose and then if required customize a little and publish.

Hope this clarifies. Please reach out to us if you need anything else.

Morgan McArthur

Noor Khan thank you for the clarification ;)

When you say "Yes, You can use Appza to make it look similar to your fluent community." and "It comes with predefined templates that you can choose and then if required customize a little and publish."

These templates you refer too... will you have FluentCommunity templates? i.e templates of the common shared FluentCommunity app you are building. This then gives more flexibility and options for you guys to offer a simpler FluentCommunity self branded and owned app approach.

Noor Khan

Morgan McArthur We will have FluentCommunity template as well as others.

Noor Khan Does Appza allow to explore the whole WP website and not just the communities? Or do we have to recreate the content in the app, and it's not synchronised automatically with the WP website content? What's the pricing for Appza?

Noor Khan

Screenplay Unlimited No you do not have to recreate the contents in the App. Saying that, it will work with the supported plugins, Fluent Community, Blog, Woo and Tutor LMS for now.

To have the entire site in the app , there's no way of giving the contents a structure. In WordPress the template does that, if we do the same, it will be just another web view. Which defeats the entire purpose of having an app.

Noor Khan Thanks, makes sense. Do you plan to add Learndash support at some point? Otherwise, for those of us with our online courses still on Learndash due to the lack of key features in FluentCommunities regarding online courses (video protection, PDF protection, gamification, etc), I guess Appza isn't an option.

Noor Khan

Screenplay Unlimited Yes, In our current roadmap we have

FluentCommunity
WooCommerce
TutorLMS
LifterLMS
LearnDash
SureCart
FluentCart

And we plan to add more over time

Morgan McArthur

That's awesome! i'm sure alot of people will appreciate this flexibility! 😉

Nusrat Jahan

Morgan McArthur Thank you so much. We are so happy to hare that. Our next target is to make it more flexible and fulfil all the requirements 😇

Ron Oliver Clarin

404 not found website :(

Noor Khan

Ron Oliver Clarin I just tried with different browsers and from 3 locations using VPN but could not reproduce. Can you provide your location and a screenshot please
