FluentCommunity Minor Release - 2.2.05
First, thank you. The response to 2.2.0 yesterday was genuinely overwhelming. Your excitement and kind words mean a lot to the whole team.
But we shipped some bugs with it. We caught them fast and pushed fixes today:
What's fixed in 2.2.05:
- Vote casting issue resolved
- Lesson content permission issue now resolved
- Child comments no longer show as parent comments
- Dark mode flickering — gone
- Minor UI cleanup
- NEW: New option to disable Feed/Space layout switching
- Messaging Add-On Improvements.
Update from your WordPress dashboard (Free, Pro & Messaging Add-on)
While I have you, a couple of hidden gems from 2.2.0 that we forgot in yesterday's release note:
🔁 Scroll Position Memory: scroll through your feed, open a post, hit back. The feed loads instantly and drops you right where you left off. No more losing your place. Small detail, big difference.
⚡️ Performance First: In 2.2, we added full feeds state management. Load 1,000 posts or 10, the performance is identical. Space feeds now load from memory and push only new updates, so your server load drops ~40% while your feed feels instant after the first load. The more your community grows, the more this matters.
Thanks again for all the support. 🙌
PS: If you have a minute, a review would mean the world to us 👉 https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/fluent-community/reviews/
Thank you so much ! I hope to be able to translate the Fluent Messaging elements via Loco Translate soon. But you've already done a fantastic job! Thank you 🙏
Yvan martin we are waiting for a fix for translations as well. 🙃
Hi team 👋
Is there any official documentation or guide for integrating Fluent Socket with FluentCommunity?
Specifically, I would like to know:
- Are only the API keys required for the integration?
- Or do we also need to add any additional code (for example in wp-config.php)?
I just want to make sure I’m setting it up correctly and following best practices.
Thank you 🙏
Danijel Salijevic In FluentCommunity open your Settings. Features and Add-ons, then next to FluentMessaging open its settings and you can put your keys from FluentSocket in there.
Shahjahan Jewel Thank You
Could I get approved please, I got a feature request that I have been waiting for to get out of review : )
Good to see constant updates
Has anyone else noticed liking/unliking a comment doesn't show the change until you refresh? It works fine for liking/unliking posts but, at least for me on multiple computers, the heart on comments doesn't visibly change until I refresh. Just me or a new issue?
Thomas Oates I noticed that as well. Will dig deeper into it.
Shahjahan Jewel This may help....it may just be an issue with top level comments. When I liked your comment, the heart visibly changed as expected.
Thomas Oates The issue has been fixed. We were using a beta version to test. I had to clear the server side caching.
Shahjahan Jewel There is a problem when a post is pinned in a space, when we change space and come back the same post is displayed 2 times. When we come back again after visiting another space, it's displayed 3 times. And so on.
Élyse Bergeron Humm. I see that now. Will fix it in the next version. Maybe the issue with the extensive caching we are using.
Shahjahan Jewel OK thanks ! I hope it'll be soon !
Thanks so much for all the new goodies - much appreciated! May the dust settle soon, and all the other requests see the light of day! Keep up the great work!
You guys are just the best. I asked for it yesterday, you delivered today. I mean the - New option to disable Feed/Space layout switching
I love this Scroll Position Memory but it memory's only first feed after scrolling again It always come back to first memories feed.
love it... mate Shahjahan Jewel url preview is not showing + URL are still showing just as URLS...
and my question about events is constantly ignored. Great way to support customers.
Tindaro Battaglia What makes you think that bitching about this brings this feature any nearer to you? You're not entitled to these features. If FCom offers them, great; if not, wait until it does - and in the meantime use something else. Your "Great way to support customers." is totally uncalled for, or do you believe that any software offers all possible features under the sun straight from the word go? I doubt it.
Yes, events would be nice, but even that has to be thought through properly, and possibly integrated with Fluent Bookings and any kind of payment.
If I were you, I'd be a little more positive and polite, especially as you want something from them. I found Shahjahan Jewel to be very open and very responsive to suggestions. But... "der Ton macht die Musik."
Helmar Rudolph This is not just his request. It's the planned feature since 2024: https://community.wpmanageninja.com/fluentcommunity-roadmp/#/26/
Marek this is software. That stuff happens, and even if it's been planned in 2024, the customer isn't entitled to it. When it happens, happy days. Until then we stay friendly and optimistic.
Helmar Rudolph plz talk about things you know. That was on roadmap since 2024 and I purchased the max lifetime plan based on that roadmap, so shut up and do the lawer for someone else.
Tindaro Battaglia Things change. Trust what's there, not what's been/ being announced. And work on your condescending tone. Thank you.
Helmar Rudolph Silly reasoning. What you described is called false advertising. If you’re going to reply to me, at least try to reason like a sentient being, otherwise, just move on.
Tindaro Battaglia please grow up. Just because they announced it, doesn't mean you're entitled to it. But apart from your acting like a child, the message is much clearer to the team: say and announce absolutely nothing, because of the likes of you who are only waiting to throw up over them. But then again, as unpleasant as it is, I'm sure they already got used to it and - unlike me in this isolated case - simply ignore you. The likes of you never seem pleased and appreciative. Sad.
Helmar Rudolph I’m going to ignore the personal insults and stick to the point (and plz, try to speak without ChatGPT).
When a company publicly announces a feature (or puts it on a roadmap), it’s normal for customers to ask about it, especially when years pass with no release and no clear update. That’s not “entitlement”; that’s basic accountability and expectation management.
If your position is “never announce anything because some people will ask for it,” then we simply disagree on what professional communication looks like.
I’m happy to have a respectful discussion about timelines, priorities, or whether the feature is cancelled. I’m not interested in trading childish remarks.
So I’ll leave it here. If you have concrete info from the team, share it. Otherwise, consider this thread closed.
Tindaro Battaglia you: "I’m happy to have a respectful discussion about timelines, priorities, or whether the feature is cancelled." Also you: "Great way to support customers."
If you don't get replies, then there's a reason for it. Looking at your replies here, it's hardly surprising - at least to me. Case closed here, as you suggest. ITM I'll see what I can find out.
Tindaro Battaglia PS: I use chatGPT to write apps and for developing my own GPT, but thanks for exposing your mindset.
Helmar Rudolph You’re mixing two different points.
- Asking for clarity on an announced feature after a long delay is a legitimate customer request.
- Personal attacks don’t help anyone, which is exactly why I’m keeping this about facts and expectations.
“Great way to support customers” wasn’t meant as a tantrum, it was a comment on communication: if something is announced and then goes silent for years, people will ask. That’s predictable.
I’m fine closing it here. If you manage to get concrete info from the team, I’d appreciate it. Otherwise, no worries, I’ll just assume it’s not happening and move on.
Tindaro Battaglia https://fluentcommunityaddons.com/product/events/
What is this plugin/add-on not doing that you'd need?
Helmar Rudolph Thanks, I’m aware of that add-on.
The point is: it’s third-party, not native. And FluentCommunity currently doesn’t provide an official/native events module, nor a guaranteed/endorsed way to extend it like this.
So what I need (and what was announced/discussed) is a native Events feature inside FluentCommunity (or an official add-on from the Fluent team), with proper support, compatibility guarantees, and a clear roadmap.
Third-party plugins can be useful, but they’re not an equivalent replacement when:
- the core product doesn’t officially support/endorse them,
- there’s no long-term compatibility guarantee,
- support/accountability is split across vendors.
That’s why I’m asking about the status of the native feature: shipped date, ETA, or confirmation it’s cancelled.
Ross FCA - feel like chirping in?
Tindaro Battaglia Wordpress is also not native, yet you're using it, right? I don't get why you're maintaining this stance, when the plugin could actually do the job for you - for a measly $59. And why should WPMN open this can of worms when there's already a native plugin specifically built for this purpose? They prepare the field others are invited to fill and till, and Ross did just that.
Helmar Rudolph You’re comparing two different things.
WordPress is a platform with a mature, documented plugin API and a long history of backward compatibility. That’s exactly why relying on third-party extensions is a reasonable default in WordPress land.
So, I get it, but I’ll be very clear: I’m not looking for third-party solutions, even if they work.
I need an official FluentCommunity events solution (native feature or an official add-on by WPManageNinja) with their support, roadmap, and compatibility guarantees.
So the only question that matters for me is: is the official events feature planned, and if yes what’s the ETA, or has it been cancelled?
Simple question from a customer, that as today has no response.
Tindaro Battaglia The event feature is scheduled on Q2. The reason, I did not respond is this as it's not related to this main thread.
The event management will as an Add-on like FluentPlayer as Event is a so broad area but we will have a Community First integration.
Shahjahan Jewel Thanks for the clarification, that’s exactly the kind of concrete answer I was looking for.
Just to make sure I plan properly:
- When you say Q2, do you mean Q2 2026? Any more specific target (month / early vs late Q2)?
- Since it will be an official add-on, will it be a separate paid product (and do you already know the pricing model)?
- What does “Community First integration” include at launch, e.g. events tied to Spaces/Groups, RSVP/attendees, notifications, calendar views, recurring events, permissions/access control?
- Will there be a public roadmap post or a beta/early access we can join?
Appreciate you confirming it’s on the schedule, clarity like this helps set expectations and avoids unnecessary noise in the community.
Is there a possibillity to automatic make the user tag in fluentcrm to a badge in fluentcommunity?
KURT KLEIN Yes that's a feature
Your latest update created a nasty bug...my members cant login via the logon page..it just does nothing and nothing was touched. They go to FastTraxSystem.com/portal and try to login and it does nothing
