Fluentcommunity for a school

im trying to figure a community for a school. which would include members going into specific classes and accessing notices, events, videos from teachers, each class is a group with specific permissions. will fluentcommunity allow payments etc if there is a class event? discussing as a group there would you be able to do that?

im maybe also thinking i need a specific per child conversation with parents to share portfolio grades etc - any tools recommended

hearbeat comes with a mobile app. i was a bit concerned that though we can get a ltd for fluentcommunity, we are still going to have to pay more for a mobile app, which comes in as default in other community platforms? like circle and heartbeat?

I am not sure if circle had or has any LTD deal so it is hard to expect that it will be included in this LTD.

Don't forget that there are some "free" apps but it also means tracking codes, ADs, selling personal data etc.

Don't get me wrong. I wish to have free app too (including LTD support) but we have a long way to get there.

Mat Β, im aware of circle. Heartbeat is ltd. Groupapp im not sure but was also ltd

Naazim Mohungoo, got it! I was not aware of the heartbeat LTD for that (that app has limited automation and languge translation and who knows how it will be developed without proper MRR - if they somehow are able to manage business still selling LTD than good for them.

With Circle probably current users sponsor the LTD users (currenttly then have high monthly plan) - it that will be the case where fCommunity will be successful on the Annual plan then why not to take the risk for LTD app - its hard to say without knowing some numbers or comparing it to today well know Circle brand.

LTD can be good but when it is limited to some early adopters - i am not sure if that is the case there and here etc).

Thanks for the info anyway!

BTW - just read opinion about HeartBeat from 2023 and I am not sure if it's real but it just shows the reality:

I bought the deal and uploaded 50 courses and I am ready to launch the academy. But just right before I planned my ad campaign, I received an email. Just like all other loyal AppS.. deal clients. The message: sorry AppS.. customers, you get screwed. We have miscalculated the deal and have to take a feature away, we gave you in the past. No more live chat support for you guys. Sorry. You can buy it for $15 a month now. Otherwise you have to wait 5-7 (!!) days for an answer. It does not state the support level in the deal, but it says: all future growth plan updates. If I look on the homepage, it shows: priority support (1 business day) with growth plan. I bought the higher Tier 2 deal and even if I am very happy with the software itself, I have to say: it has a bad taste at the end.

The app is a crucial and integral component of FluentCommunity's success. I believe that WPManageNinja should own the app and, for the moment, have it developed by an outsourced team.

Sella Yoffe, just wondering if integrating community messaging features with external apps would be a good alternative/option so users can use their own app like Discord, MS Teams, Google Chat to receive and send messages - as long as they pay us a membership for content access for me it would be OK for now. I am not saying that the native app is not needed.

Whenever the user wants to participate in some other activity like training or a call the user needs to visit the community directly or again use any external but integrated app (Zoom, MS Teams etc).

Native app is also good but I am not sure how this will be maintained and supported (so many devices, updates - even here, challenges, suggestions, languages, GDPR/other requirements (access to camera, phone contatcs) etc plus how to convince users to install some unknown app potentially full of tracking codes and ADs).

It might be too much for now for the team to handle (external team wont listen us the same way the fTeam is listening) - its a completly new project to handle by PMO (IMHO).

Even handling two New products releases (Boards and Community) might be challanging - for me as a end-user is too much to follow all updates not mentioning that I wish I could focus on Fluent Boards too etc.

As long as there will be audience interesting in paying for the mobile app it is still good to consider even now. Mobile app pricing might not be as good as you expect but who knows.

Last question.. who should pay for the mobile app if its not free? End-user $1/mth or the fCommunity admin per user license/domain?

I guess nobody are willing to pay extra so the option in this case is that the "Sponsor" will or should pay for the Mobile app - it will be: WP Manage Ninja team - in a final run fTeam will need to increase pricing and remodel the approach etc.

Ps. I am expecting a free mobile app with no tracking codes, no ads etc but I am not sure if this will ever happen. Let's be real.
