FluentCommunity 2.7.7 is now available
This release includes a security fix along with a good batch of new options, improvements, and bug fixes.
Security: HTML embed for media is now restricted, properly validated, and sanitized. Thanks to Patchstack for reporting it. We recommend updating at your earliest convenience.
New:
- Privacy control for profile password changes. Now you can disable password change options in the portal from Privacy Settings.
- Divider option in the editor slash menu
- Play button color for FluentPlayer Media can be configured now.
Improved: Media gallery tabs now sync to URL query params, better audio edit modal thumbnail upload and styling, clearer quiz result badges in dark mode, and improved keyboard and screen reader accessibility.
Fixed: 14 fixes across comment replies (mentions, focus, unsaved changes warning), mobile sidebar and bottom nav behavior, blank audio players after gallery tab switches, multi-select quiz answers, the lesson editor back button, profile field line breaks, and several styling issues.
We are working on something really cool in FluentCommunity, and hopefully we will release that within the next week 🙌

So what I’d really love to see is a proper native login and registration feature (instead of what we have now), along with the ability to simply have rooms without having to join them. That would be my dream.

Tawsif Ahmed Riyad It would be great to have a dedicated login page in the Community style, with more robust features than the current login overlay, which is very inflexible and difficult to customize. I really like what FluentAuth does, and I’d love to see similar functionality built natively into FluentCommunity. I’m not sure if this has already been addressed, but previously, the “forgot password” flow redirected users to the default WordPress login page. Given how FluentCommunity works, that feels quite undesirable. In my opinion, the login and registration system currently offers far too few options, especially considering that these are essential features that every FluentCommunity user relies on. Related to this, it would also be great to have the ability to completely disable access to the WordPress admin area for regular users, along with other related access-control options.

Can I embed any video via iframe?It’s already different when embedding video using embed code. I hope this isn't an attempt to force the use of FluentPlayer for video embeds in the future. Can I embed any video via iframe?
