Fluent Community Multilingual
Hello! I'm looking for a solution to enable Fluent Community Multilingual with a Multi-Way Automatic Translation feature. Specifically, I want a system where a community supports five languages, and any post or comment made in any of these languages is automatically translated into the other four languages. This way, everyone can understand the content regardless of the language they're using.
I have contacted most of the translation plugin solutions, but unfortunately, they all say that this feature is not possible with their solutions. If anyone has a suggestion or knows how to achieve this, please share!

This is something that needs to be done as a custom solution. This is how it will work:
- When a post/comment is added: Create a translated version of that feed and store in a key-value pair database table with some extra columns.
- When FluentCommunity returns the rest API response then catches that response and replaces the content with the targetted translation version.
- Should be used some object caching like Redis to make it fast and reduce the extra queries.
This will be a very interesting project for sure.

Just wondering if the online Google Translator would work for the Public Community URL so it could be a solution just for multilingual visitor to read the community content easy.

Mat ΒΒ with this "solution" you are not getting any SEO juice as the translations are not indexed by search engines... so for me cannot be a long term solution π

Hi. The feature works with Translatepress - but I believe Translatepress does not work with FluentCommunity. At the moment I use BuddyBoss with Learndash and Translatepress and it works perfectly in different languages. So, when once creates a post e.g. in English, and the reader switches the language button to e.g. French, then it translates to French. It is working smoothly, as I use Deepl for the automatic translations. It is superfast (yes, still Buddyboss :-) ) and reliable.

In the meantime ive tested with Weglot and it does work 100% but weglot is expensive so would rather avoid.
