Feature Suggestion: Interest-Based Community Access via Fluent Form

Objective: Create a form where users are granted access to different communities based on their interests and choices.

How it would work:

1. User Interaction:

β€’ When a user visits the website, they are presented with a registration form created using Fluent Forms.

β€’ The form includes a section where users can select their interests from a list of options (e.g., Technology, Arts, Sports, Business, Health).

2. Conditional Logic:

β€’ Using Fluent Forms’ conditional logic feature, the form is set up to assign users to specific communities based on their selected interests.

β€’ For example:

β€’ If a user selects β€œTechnology” and β€œBusiness,” they are automatically granted access to the Technology and Business communities.

β€’ If a user selects β€œHealth,” they are given access to the Health community.

3. Automated Access:

β€’ Upon submission, the form triggers actions that:

β€’ Create a user profile.

β€’ Automatically enroll the user in the relevant communities.

β€’ Send a customized welcome email that includes links or information about their new communities.

4. Benefits:

β€’ Personalized Experience: Users immediately connect with communities that match their interests.

β€’ Increased Engagement: By joining relevant groups, users are more likely to participate and contribute.

β€’ Scalability: As new communities are added, the form can be updated easily to include new interest options.

This feature would enhance user experience by streamlining the onboarding process and connecting users to the most relevant communities based on their interests.

Thank you for considering this idea!

I think you can already do this with conditional tagging in the form and Fluentcrm automation

Natascha Vantuykom, It would be helpful to have a native option in the community app that allows us to configure spaces based on user interests.Β
