Feature Request: ability to limit access to or completly disable routes /members /spaces (+redirect traffic to /portal) when they are disabled in the Menu Links:
-
I would like to forbid the access to /portal/members for general users if it is Disabled from the Menu Items settings. Currently any fCommunity user can access this route when it is disabled. I expect that users will be redirected to /portal location in this case (would be nice to also give the power to disable the route). This is also needed for Public fCommunity where anybody could access /members route (and see Public Spaces all members I guess) but Admin doesnt want it etc.
Currently when I disable Members item from the top Menu Links but then I manually type the url domain.com/portal/members/ it is still accessible and available (by general users/Subscriber).
I am not sure if Members module is scope based so users cannot list All members of the fCommunity but I expect that they can list only members from the Spaces they belong (in the Members area). If a Space is Public and fCommunity is Public then probably anybody can list users (see their profiles etc).
Case scenario for disabled menu link (+route):
Lets say I work with multiple customers and I will create a Group for them (one Group menu per Customer). In this case I dont want them to see the Members list. One of precaution would be to disable Members link from the top menu but also making sure that they cannot access that route by manual typing /portal/members.

Simillar case is when Menu Item: Spaces - disabled. When we manually add to the URL /portal/discover/spaces then it can be displayed. It would be nice if in this case users (other than Admin/Manager) would be redirected to /portal. So cureently disabled status for Spaces means that only the link item is not visible in the menu.
I am not sure if hidding link from the menu is just for the visibility option so someone can integrate this link (/portal/members) in the website (other parts) and if that is why the route is currently active but it would be really nice to give to option (additional tick/switch) to disable the link and route and redirect traffic to /portal (especially for non logged users when portal is Public but also when the Community Admin decide so - those routes also could be available for Admin/Manager but not for the rest of users etc). Maybe even admin could decide who can mention other users (all users, logged users but within space scope, only admins/managers)
+1
