fCommunity suggestions lists:

  • possibility to move location of the fCommunity plugin in WP Admin left pane so it will be be aligned with other fProducts (keep them in one group) - it can be fixed with a code snippet but why we are not consistant in this matter

  • admin friendly onboarding process - step by step guide for admin while setting up first time fCommunity plugin - maybe some required steps checklist would be helpful for plugin configuration

  • fCommunity plugin settings are not accesible from Wordpress admin console directly - we are redirected to the Portal: https://domain.com/portal

Maybe it would be nice to duplicate some items like Settings in the WP Admin left pane with direct links so this plugin doens`t look so naked in WP Admin

  • in case /portal is Public (no need to autenticate) and user was was created in WP Admin and logged to WP but user are not being approved in All members list > User has Status Blocked or Pending) then unformatted text is displayed with blank page under this url: domain.com/portal

    • "Sorry, You can not access to this portal"
    • "You request is on pending! An admin need to approve your join request. Please contact with an admin to get approval"

In this case scenario admin could specify his custom text and a way to make that page aligned with our Theme.

Giving admin option to redirect such a user to some other URL (theme based) might not be the bast fix/adjustment/customer experiance.

  • After user login in by using to domain.com/portal link for some reason he is not redirected to domain.com/portal but user see a regular WP Admin dashboard and the url in the browser address filed shows:

    https://domain.com/wp-admin/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fdomain.com%2Fportal

When I enter manually the same url: domain.com/portal again and press enter then the user see the front-end portal.

It might be the case where I have some plugins/code snippets enabled but I am just highlighting the observation

Of course such a user with Subscriber role dont see any link or plugin name on the left pane in WP Admin since he is just a Subscriber.

  • Dark Mode is not being kept for a Subscriber User once he is logged out (close browser) and logged in again.

  • user Gravatar initials are visible if the user email in WP match his email in gravatar. Not sure if we can prevent displaying users orginal initials

  • allow admin/users to customize Date/Time format which is displayed for example on Course Students list (Start Date format is: d mm, hh:mmPM/AM)

  • For Menu Settings (/portal/admin/settings/menu-settings)- when I edit Top Links (At Sidebar) and just change the url and save then a new Top Link (At Sidebar) is being temporarly duplicated (bug) instead of just updating this current link url. But once I refresh whole screen (F5) then it looks Ok - only one Top Link (At Sidebar) is on the list

  • implement ability to restore orginal description for:

    • Primary Menu Items
    • Profile Dropdown Items

If admin have changed it by mistake he dosnt know what was the orginal menu item name.
Also hints in fields could show the original name value instead of text: "Public Name of the item".
Alternative resolution: if someone would delete the field completly then a default/orginal menu name would be saved.

Warning: when I changed those names to empty ones or mabye I duplicate names then my WP had critical error and I had to remove/deactivate the plugin manually. I will try to replicate this issue later on - Now I need to restore my WP ;)

  • implement max characters limit for custom names in Menu Settings so admins won`t go with crazy long names.
Characters limits in a form fileds should include areas like:

    • Top Links (At Sidebar)
    • Profile Dropdown Items
    • Sidebar Bottom Link Groups
  • ability to have only few ex. 3..4..5 Leaderboard Levels and the rest hidden, If admin decide later that he wants to enable higher levers than he should have such a possibility and he needs to make an adjustment in those Levels values.

  • I use code snippet for 404 redirects to the main page url (Apex domain) and if 404 redirect is active I cannot access Login url /portal. Once I disable 404 redir then I am able to see and login via /portal. Just letting you know.

  • Maybe it would be good to Change Notice in Admin Settings for Portal: Portal Wide Notice doesnt say much - maybe give (i) icon with detail description would help.

  • Implement Recovery Trash Bin for removed users/courses so admin could restore them.

  • In settings section: Login URL please be more descriptive (i)icon hover could give admin hints that by default this URL should be standard https://domain.com/wp-admin slug unless admin changed it by WPS Hide Plugin etc.

If admin changed login form url then he should enter non-standard link. Also if an admin implement other user login way example: via fForms then he should provide the right link to fForms.

By default in the Login URL field admin could see a default value = https://domain.com/wp-admin or as a hint in field

  • ability to set by admin instructions for Crawlers especialy when everyone can access the Portal. Admin should be able to set the INDEX, NOINDEX, FOLLOW, NOFOLLOW end other Meta tags so they won`t be empty.
Default Language meta tag might be important for Browsers (if someone is accessing Portal: Spanish language and the lang=en then chrome browser might offers auto translation incorrect language etc.

Ability to provide data for the below tags:

    **this is prefilled automatically already**

To be continued... my batery died...

Adding attachment with unformatted text while end-user is created in WP Admin but is not approved in fCommunity (Pending/Blocked status). This page should be customazible as I mentioned above.

I am not sure why some buttons are Green (vs Blue) in a Darkmode. Maybe button colors means something...

Limit max characters for custom fields like Menus to avoid such a beautiful scenario ;)
