FC notifications

Im not sure if this is a bug but FC notifications on this forum are ify at best or maybe it is just me...

Sometimes I get an email, other times I get nothing but an on screen popup and only if I refresh the page, other times I get nothing at all and notice new posts have been made with no notifications.
