Excerpt of the post instead
Hi,
When a member subscribes to be notified of a new post, they receive the full content by email. That’s convenient for them, but it reduces traffic since they no longer need to visit the website.
Wouldn’t it be better to send only an excerpt of the post instead?

D@vid For me, for example, the functionality that everything comes to the email is fine, although I understand the need to attract the visitor back to the website. As a community operator, when you mark to send a notification message to a published post, it is something like sending a newsletter and if there is valuable content that solves the need/problem of the subscriber, they will come back, engage in communication, or order something. When you track the return of people from the messages sent, it only determines how many real users you have and whether you sent valuable information specifically for them. Yeah, the first 150 words and then a link to the post if It’s longer would be better imho.
Would be nice if we could set this as we like. Full content, excerpt or even 'you missed something' or something like that 🙂
For creating engagement ON the community, people need motivation
