Emojis Course Review
I found interesting this option to allow users to react to the courses with emojis instead of presenting the typical star ratings of the courses.
Also not all of us want to present the star ratings when the courses are new. Also, even if the course is good, not always a user is motivated to write a review and rate with stars.
It would be nice to be able to select what we want to use; Stars (reviews) or Reactions with Emojis.
Personally I see more fun and unique to offer the option for users to react with emojis quickly to the courses, it would be more expressive than the stars.
It all sounds good until the first poop emoji shows up.

I don’t see the point of it. Or maybe I didn’t understand the concept! So the student is the one grading the lesson ? 🤔
I like the idea of emojis as well. Sometimes you have people who give 3 stars and when you read their review it's amazing! I had a teacher who would never give a grade of 100%. I think about that when I look at stars. Yet, I still want the 5 star offers!!

D@vid everyone's business is different. Feedback from my clients is essential. If they aren't learning or don't like a lesson, why would I not want to know? My goal is to have people enjoy and learn and then recommend. If someone thinks a lesson is bad or a course is bad, why would they recommend the course? If 1 person, maybe I won't modify it but if 3+ people, then I would want to (If it's a larger selling course, those numbers might be different).
If you're providing credentialed courses, then this isn't the right thing for you, but that doesn't mean that other people don't find the value in it.
Also, people don't usually leave feedback (good or bad) unless prompted to multiple times. Yet people will easily select an emoji for the way they are feeling about something. Decision fatigue is real. Even having to make the decision on which star to choose is effort.
Wendy Shoef For that, there’s no need to display it publicly. Create an evaluation form and share the results if you wish.
The form option is very good to get complete and real information.
And the emoji option is just a quick and easy way to interact and review, without having to fill out a long form as if they were applying for a job.
