Editing and Approving Posts
I was doing a test post as a test member in my community and my settings are set to have all posts reviewed. As the admin, I went to review the post and wanted to edit it (think personal information or unauthorized content). I edited the content and then I went to click the update button, it gave me the following error: Sorry, You can only edit a post if it's in published state.
Why can't I edit a submitted post and update it when you give me the options to do so?
You must review it (publish) and then you can edit it.
Drive ZoneΒ Makes no sense.
Kevin WatsonΒ I see no reason to edit all posts from members. If you want edit every post, you can make 10 self accounts and write to yourself. It is mainly moderation tool where admins can check just first post of new member to be sure it is not a bot.
Drive ZoneΒ Maybe you can't see it for your community, but I see a reason for my community for reasons I will just leave out. It gives me the option to edit the post (see the screenshot). So why can't I edit it and update it if I am given the options? That last Q is for the developers.
Kevin WatsonΒ Noted. We will take a look into it. Thank you!
