Duplicate Two-Factor Authentication Codes Sent via Portal Login vs. Single Code in wp-admin

There is an inconsistency in Fluent Auth’s two-factor authentication (2FA) behavior depending on the login method used.

When logging in through the portal login interface, the system erroneously sends two authentication codes to the user’s email address. However, when logging in via the standard WordPress wp-admin panel, the 2FA process works correctly, delivering only one code.

This discrepancy creates confusion for users and risks undermining the security and reliability of the authentication process.

I am also experiencing the same issue.

I have the same issue, but in my case two-factor authentication is only enabled for admins.

We will look into it. As we will have a massive update of FluentAuth, we will make sure it works with FluentCommunity

Shahjahan Jewel Oh that sounds good and is very welcome. I am not using it right now because of the 'reset password' exposing the WP login. I hope that will be fixed. I think the Magic Links had the same issue.

Shahjahan Jewel I’d love a FluentAuth Pro!
