Does F.C. convert PNG files to WebP ?
After several tests with the weekly automated email, it seems that F.C. is converting .PNG files to .WebP.
For example, I upload "logo-comprendre.ai-mauve2.png" as the email header, refresh the page, and when I inspect the element, I see: XXXXX-fluentcom-logo-comprendre.ai-mauve2.webp
This creates an issue with webmail clients like Gmail, which donβt handle .WebP properly β they convert it to .JPG, removing transparency and resulting in an unprofessional appearance. This also happens with avatars.

I think it does... which is good and bad but should have an option to enabled or disable. .WebP is really nice and all but has limitations. I just mentioned how it converts animated .GIF and also ruins autoplay because of conversion a little bit ago.

I understand what you mean when you say it's both positive and negative. However, this is the first time I've encountered such an issue. I agree with you β there should be a deactivation option because:
-
The admin should be able to choose the image format
-
WebP is not supported everywhere. Even Gmail doesnβt use it, and yet Google is the creator of... WebP π
I really hope this will be changed soon.
