Decentralized Interconnection of Multiple FluentCommunity Communities

ActivityPub is a great idea for decentralized networks, but in reality, it’s still far from perfect.
WordPress is constantly updating their own Fediverse plugin, but it’s still full of bugs and would take thousands of hours to get right—especially considering all the different platforms involved. Even though these platforms use the same protocol, they all behave differently when interacting with each other. For example, Threads, Bluesky, and others each have their own quirks.
Right now, the only platform doing ActivityPub really well is Ghost CMS. They’ve been working on it for over a year, and it’s still just in beta—not even officially released yet. (They started on May 10th, 2024.)
So honestly, I don’t expect FluentCommunity to achieve full ActivityPub support anytime soon.
Cuong Thach Personally, for now, it would be enough for me if it were possible to connect multiple FluentCommunity installations to each other, and ActivePub is the music of the future. Maybe there would be some other suitable protocol.
+1 I’m interested in being able to switch between viewing and interacting in multiple FCs.
