Custom HTML Code video embed feature showing black box instead of video
Shahjahan Jewel I'm experiencing an issue with the "Custom HTML Code" video embed feature in Fluent Community lessons.
The Problem:
- When using the "Custom HTML Code" option in the Features Settings (left sidebar) to embed Loom videos, students see a black box instead of the video player
- This issue started in the past 24-48 hours
- These same videos were working perfectly using this exact feature until recently
What IS Working:
- The same Loom embed code works perfectly when I manually add it as an HTML block in the lesson content editor
- The videos themselves are fine and display correctly on Loom
Setup Details:
- Feature affected: "Custom HTML Code" in Features Settings
- Video source: Loom
- Workaround: Manually adding HTML blocks to lesson content
Impact:
This is affecting all students in my community. The Custom HTML Code feature in Features Settings appears to have broken, while the same exact embed code works fine when added directly to lesson content.
Request:
Can you investigate what changed with the Custom HTML Code feature recently? Something in how it processes or displays video embeds has broken.
We will check it out. Most probably Data sanitization issue.

Shahjahan Jewel and Raiyan Marzan This is what it looks like. As I mentioned, I took the same embed code and used a custom html block on the page itself and it works fine.
