Course Lesson Pages & Other Issues in 2.9.0
Thank you for the new version, however there are a few issues I have seen.
I have checked the FluentCommunity 2.9.0, PWA app version on an iPhone iOS, and also in desktop browser in mobile width.
In the PWA app version on an iPhone iOS, after scrolling down a Course Lesson page, the Lesson page cannot be scrolled back up, because in a Lesson page a swipe down anywhere on the page, triggers the app to refresh.
When a FluentPlayer element is in a Lesson page it is making the page wider than it should be, causing horizontal scrolling. This is happening in the PWA app version on an iPhone iOS and also in a desktop browser in mobile width view. This is most apparent with a video that has chapters Inline Scroll activated. This type of FluentPlayer is stuck at around 720px in width and does not go narrower.
On a Lesson page the FluentCommunity integrated Documents & Files:
1, In the PWA app version on an iPhone iOS, a document or a file like a PDF can open, however when it does open it takes up the full screen and it is not clear how to go back, a user needs to know they have to swipe right to go back.
2, If the download arrow is selected, a blank white screen appears and nothing happens. Here there is at least a X in the top left corner to go back to the lesson page. This also happened in the 2.8.0 version.
3, When a download link is added in a Lesson page, to download a media file like an audio file, this can be slow to open, and sometimes doesn't, and there is no indication something is taking time to open. When the audio file link opens, again there is no obvious way back, swiping right does not work, and there is no way to go back. The app needs to be closed and reopened.
When a download link is added in a Lesson page, to download a file like a PDF, the PDF opens and is visible to view, however there is no way to download it, which is what the link is specifically for.
Regarding closing and reopening the app, is there a way the app can remember where in the community the user was last and open that, instead of always opening up at the Feed? This is especially important is a user was in a lesson in a course, or even in a specific space.
From within the PWA app version on an iPhone iOS, if there is a link to a webpage outside of the community, this webpage appears full screen and there is no obvious way back to the community pages. A user needs to know they have to swipe right to do this, and depending on how many of the website pages are explored, each one needs to be swiped right to get back to the community. The external webpage has no refresh option, swiping down at the top of a page does not refresh it here. There were some advantages to how this was handled before, as it was clearer that an external webpage had been opened, and it was very easy to close it with the X to go back to the community, or use an arrow to navigate back.
It looks like this, and the other download link issues are happening due to the new "pages stay inside the app" approach. From memory, the way the 2.8.0 version opened downloads and non community webpages, had functionality that is actually necessary for these things to work.
Thank you.
