    • Prevents duplicate certificates for the same student and course.
    • All manually generated certificates are logged under Completed Courses.

🎓 Course Completion & Certificate Management

  • Completed Courses Admin Table

    • Added a centralized admin table to track completed courses.
    • Displays student name, course title, and completion date.
    • Shows certificate generation status with direct view access.

  • Search & Pagination

    • Added search functionality for completed courses by student or course name.
    • Implemented pagination for better performance and usability on large datasets.

  • Certificate Storage & Viewing

    • Certificates are automatically stored as PDFs in /wp-content/uploads/certificates/.
    • Each certificate is uniquely generated per student and course.
    • Admins can open certificates directly in a new browser tab.

🧩 Frontend & User Features

  • 🎓 Course Button on User Profiles

    • Added a Course button to user profile action menus.
    • Links users directly to course or certificate-related pages.
    • Enabled by default with admin control.

  • Certificate Completion Shortcode

    • Added [certificate_completions] shortcode to display recent course completions.
    • Supports configurable limits and optional animations.
    • Works across posts, pages, widgets, and shortcode-enabled areas.

  • Certificate Completion Preview Modal

    • Added an admin preview modal for completion displays.
    • Allows visual verification of shortcode output, layout, and animations before publishing.

⚙️ Automation & Reliability

  • Automatic Course Completion Tracking

    • Course completions are logged instantly upon completion.
    • Records are stored independently of certificate generation.
    • Ensures accurate historical tracking even if certificates are generated later.

Just checking, there is no course certificate functionality yet in the current live version of fCommunity?

Les Cseh yeah there isn't, I created this addon based on members request. The admin of fcom said they're not making it, so I stepped up and had to create a certificate addon.

I was thinking that I might use the certificate as a motivator eg. "Once you have a completed course certificate, and I'll interview you about you and your business for a social post."

Les Cseh you mean you'll interview students that have completed a course on your community? If that's what you mean, that's good for you to access your students knowledge.

the course is for small business owners, about how to do social media so they aren't just posting blindly, and only getting a few likes from friends.

and then to benefit them and me, i want to interview them and create a social post that both they and i will share in our circles (and promote using "boost") to build exposure and credibility (coz it's a real person saying how they liked the course, and the results they got, instead of me saying how great it is).
