Chat messages from current session disappear after closing and reopening tab (requires logout/login to refresh)
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing a consistent issue with the chat in Fluent Community and would appreciate your help.
Issue description:
When using the chat normally, everything works fine during the active session:
- I can send messages
- I can navigate between sections (courses, spaces, etc.)
- Messages remain visible
However, the problem occurs when I close the browser tab and then reopen the site (while still logged in):
- The latest messages from the previous session are NOT visible
- This includes both my messages and messages from other users
- Only older messages (from before login or earlier sessions) are shown
Temporary fix:
The only way to restore the missing messages is:
- Log out
- Log back in
After that, all messages appear correctly again.
What I tested:
- Tested with both FluentSocket and Pusher
- Same issue occurs in both cases
- So it doesn’t seem to be related to the realtime provider
Is there any fix or workaround available?

I also wanted to mention one more thing regarding the chat functionality. It would be very helpful to have the ability to mention/tag users (using @username) directly in chat messages.
