Chat tag feature for paid members
Is there any way we could somehow select users who can access the Chat feature/module.
Example: it would be good to keep free members in the main Space but Paid users could also communicate via Chat. When a free user wants to send a Chat message to a Paid user then there would be a message button with redirection to buy the membership etc.
We could also allow the Chat for users who have the Leaderboard level > 1 etc.
I was thinking of a switch or some kind of tag implemented where Admin but also FluentCRM/integration could set the Chat tag to Active/Inactive status.
Note: the tag could be also linked to our Badges. Example: if a user purchased any Fluent Product > PRO or Fluent tag and badge is being assigned > with that PRO or Fluent badge/tag Chat is available.
Yes, we will add some settings for the Chat module. Good suggestions.
Thise are great ideas yo create engagement and monetize.
Assaf Manor, we could even get more members with Public Chat Widget where our fCommunity could be for logged in users only but Chat widget would be visible for Visitors.
All messages from Public Chat Widget would go to Space Chats (Only Admin or dedicated users and/or Paid users would see messages from the Public Chat Widget in Chat not in a Space) and if more info is required to provide to the visitor then the Visitor see a link to sign up for the: fCommunity or raise a fSupport Ticket or use Bookings. Endless possibilities.
I have to say that this is the first time I can think a useful use-case for the chat.
GREAT suggestion! πππ
No doubt. If it is monetizable, I can consider enabling the chat module.

Jose Luis Duron, sometimes when we close our eyes we start seeing things haha
Who knows maybe we could even embed the Public Chat Widget externally (not only on our WP instance or even WP page but anywhere) with embed code - thrn streamline requests to our Chat etc.
A few other monetization ideas:
- Only paid members can upload/share photos, videos, documents (and pay more for larger storage space).
- Paid members don't see ads.
- Paid members can customize
@username(randomly generated usernames for free members) - Paid members can create their own private space(s)
Aaron Liang β it would be interested if paid members could charge a fee for their private spaces, like Skool π€
Agreed. I believe Skool has this functionality and it works really well to increase engagement
