Bug: Accessmanagement inside FluentCommunity

\= it is not saving the mapped tags. Once I reload the setting of the mapping page (AccessManagement) it is set back to "No Mapping" of the courses.

Yes, why is this major bug for new feature not getting fixed ?

Alexander SugiantoΒ maybe too few people really use it and report it - bug is still there πŸ˜₯

Elisa SpiegelΒ  I suspect so. I have 3-5 FC active anytime due to cloning and troubleshooting. None in production yet awaiting bug fix. Shahjahan JewelΒ ewelΒ ewelΒ ewelΒ  consider finding out how many FC is in production mode vs active. Those who are shouting in frustrations are mostly in production , power users, or near launch, I guess. And they could very well be small in number. The rest are probably those who just tried out and got so excited like most of us did in the beginning or not power users or not intending to go live with FC in near term. They do have much more patience - 3 month is indeed a short time for a new product.

On the other hand, it's way too long for a new plugin to remain so buggy for so long - the dev team choosing to add features that's not critical and ignoring critical ones.

Many membership plugins come with very simple course feature but it works. Theirs do not allow front end course edit. While simple, all basic features work. You could make a thousand groups or courses, and make it easy for users to search them. No one expect them to offer features like Learndash or Tutorlms because it is clear to the customers that this LMS add on is kinda freebie (as they are more of memberships plugin rather than LMS).

However, FC is being promoted as community and course plugin, aiming to replace buddypress/buddyboss. It allows front-end creation of groups/spaces and courses, which mean there will be lots of groups and courses. It follows that being able to search them easily should be available to users right from the beginning. Instead, the pagination of spaces and courses only happenned in the last release - after my request, certainly not in the roadmap. Along with it, buddyboss/buddypress migration tool and dashboard for user activities. FC team must have felt they have been working hard.

But then, what's the use of them at this point? No one really talked about it much after the release.

Course Admin/creators features are cool because it's front-end. Yet, I don't understand why the course author's access is not limited to his/her own and the support team said they await for more request before they upgrade it. My question is, why make it front-end if community users are not supposed to be course authors? If they are, why are they allowed to edit other's course?

FC team should evaluate the plugin segmentation and be clear about it, re-arrange the priorities and make the roadmap with timeline (don't make us check every hour if the upgrade is available), inform if certain features will not be available unless 3rd party offers it. Otherwise, FC team is not serious about FC despite the accomplishments thus far.

Elisa Spiegel

Shahjahan JewelΒ it only works on spaces, but not on courses

Elisa Spiegel

Shahjahan JewelΒ have you checked if accessmanagement works on courses? It only works on spaces on my end, but not on courses...
