BUG! BuddyPress Migration not importing Posts
Just testing the BuddyPress migration (so happy to see this), the groups and users are created and added correctly, but it's not seeing or migrating any of the existing posts.
I have comments disabled and only Group Admins/Moderators can post updates in BP — I likely have some custom code causing the problem, but wondered if there are any tips to work out why the migration is not finding the posts?

Did you notice whether the migration include added profile fields and their corresponding field groups ?

Also, should BP Group header/icon images be imported? Or do we have to manually update each group?

Answer to my own question above — Uploaded (BuddyPress) profile and space pictures will not migrate.

Hi Jonathan N., sorry I'm not using BuddyBoss. Part of my orginal question above was if the BuddyPress Migration copied the BuddyPress Group (not user) profile and space pictures. In the Docs is says it doesn't.
However the main issues still exists and the BuddyPress group posts are still not migrated across and wonder if Shahjahan Jewel has not had time to check this yet 🙏
David Churchill BuddyBoss is built on top of BuddyPress so ChatGPT can give you a function code for this as well. It's a workaround to copy your BuddyPress avatars to WordPress so they will get imported as well.
Jonathan N. I don't need to copy User avatars to WordPress — I'm trying to use the FluentCommunity "BuddyPress Migrator" to move all the BuddyPress Groups to FluentCommunity 👍
David Churchill Obviously you are misunderstanding my point - you asked if it would be possible to migrate BuddyPress Avatars - it is not, so I provided you with the workaround.
Jonathan N. sorry if there's any confusion — I meant Group Header images, not the User Avatars. It doesn't actually matter as there's only 14 groups, so I manually added the Thumbnail, Open Graph and Featured Images.
Have you migrated your Groups? Did all the posts copy over ok?
Update: I have disabled all plugins apart from core BuddyPress and FluentCommunity, switched to a default Theme and the Migration still doesn't see/migrate the Posts!
So sadly I don't think it's working - unless anyone else has tried/succeeded?
It migrates the posts but without any media, no photos no gifs no videos all posts are empty... Even youtube embeds appear as simple text urls
Rosvaldas Nudas think this is something that needs more attention - if there's a simple, reliable way to migrate from BuddyPress there will be a lot more people using it...
