Asked me if I wanted a custom URL for my community but then it doesn't work

Hi team, I'm setting up FC for the first time. In the onboarding flow, there was a field where I could change [my domain]/portal to something else. I changed it to /hub.

I created a Wordpress page called /hub. However, when I click on "Go to portal," it doesn't work. So I then just changed the URL in the address bar to /portal. Then, it redirects to /hub.

However, no other links work. If I click on "Portal Settings," or "Customization," it goes to: [my domain]/hub/admin/settings/customization — which doesn't work.

If I change "hub" to "portal" in the link, it does work.

Why did it let me edit the word "portal" in the field if it would break everything? I think this is a bug.

I clicked on "Change Community URL," and changed it to /portal. Now the links work.

However, I think it's a bug that in the onboarding flow, it lets me edit the field that has my community URL but then none of the links work.

Make sure you resave the permalink in WordPress.

Shahjahan Jewel ah maybe that's what went wrong. Where would I resave the permalink?

Kaneisha Grayson Just in your wordpress settings under permalinks (/wp-admin/options-permalink.php) - you don't need to change anything, just update your portal slug then head to that page and hit save.
