Allow users to join not working fine

Hello,

I have the option 'Allow users to request to join this space' unmarked

However, when the user is viewing the space, they see the 'Join' button.

I have verified this several times and cleared my cache, but I still see that.

Can you confirm if this is a bug?

I'm guessing you have the space as public here, so the join is just for being able to post or comment. Not a bug.

I need a public space for portal information, but users shouldn't be able to join or post. What's the difference between allowing or disallowing join requests for a public space?

rolo Public basically is open to all. You can make it so that only admin can post. Each post has the option to disable comments. The Join will always be there unless you hide it with some CSS.
The box to allow or disallow is a bit confusing in this case.
