Access restrictions.
Hoping someone could clarify here. If I only want logged in users to my site to view the community and courses I would need to set portal privacy to public with a redirect set to the login page correct?
But if I then want only those of a specific role to be able to comment in the spaces, where would I control that from? Is there a way to natively allow only specific paying members to post and comment? I read about the ability to give permissions at the member level within fluentcommunity but I don't see that option here.
I want to limit my Pages and Posts to only a few free views for site visitors and then you have to sign and create an account. Kind of how the New York Times lets you read X amount of article for free. There are a couple free plug-ins that help you control who can view what content and for how long. The ones I'm looking at for this are Restrict Content and Content Control. Until we know how Fluent Community will handle your situation, one of these plugins should be able to do what you're looking to do for your logged in users.
Gregory Storm my membership is in beta too so hoping Fluent has a simple solution to this. Otherwise I will simply make portal wide access available to all logged in users during my public challenges and limit it to membership folks when challenges are over.
