π¨ 2 Weeks, No Solution β Query Bug Killing Our Platform Traffics
We launched our Deshi Biker Community Platform 2 months back with high hopes, but now weβre facing a critical issue that has completely stalled our growth. The βTop Commentersβ query never finishes, causing database failures and making the platform unusable.
For the last 2 weeks, our live traffic (200+ concurrent users daily) has dropped to almost zero because of this problem. We submitted a support ticket immediately, but thereβs been no solution yet.
How can FluentCommunity be considered scalable or reliable if such a core issue is left unresolved for two weeks? This isnβt just a bugβitβs destroying our platformβs trust and growth.
We request urgent attention from the FluentCommunity developer team and CEO.
Would just like to quickly check if you're using any of my plugins (Fluent Community Addons)? Might be you've ruled out any plugin conflicts already but worth checking and making sure they're not causing any issues.
Ross FCAΒ Not using.
Skilled Home SoftΒ did you analyze your website with free tools to find the root cause of a poor performance? You can find some recomendations in a report there.
If I am not mistaken you use large images (+you have high LCP+TTFB) plus you store content on CF r2.dev domain (btw: you should use your subdomain here not r2.dev which is dedicated to dev site not a prod site).
Note: I hope you dont use shared hosting account
Note: your url /leaderboard is loading "forever"... maybe you have some restrictions on API, network rate limitting - however it started working fast now...
Adding also some latency test results - OVH Singapure (no CDN?)
https://www.openstatus.dev/play/checker
ps. when you removed the /portal slug there might be some extra htaccess redirection but it shouldnt be a case here at all since you might have issue with large images etc
ps. do you use a tag manager with fComm - any extra JS loading?
Mat βΒ Everything was fine. Problem arise suddenly. Possible reasons you have identified, that should be cause of database query failure I think. However, we have provided full site access to WPManageNinja Team. They didn't provide us any solution yet.
Skilled Home SoftΒ maybe your hosting support team could help and check the server (CPU, memory, I/O throughput limits etc) performance but its hard to tell here.
I can see some network lags and I am not sure how your server performed before.
You could also monitor db queries time but thats it what I can suggest.
On a shared server, database slowdowns often result from resource limitations like CPU and memory caps, I/O throughput limits, and bandwidth restrictions, as well as inefficient queries and poor indexing. Hosting providers implement these limits to ensure fair resource allocation, but heavy usage from other sites on the server, or your own site's increasing demands, can lead to the database hitting these ceilings and causing performance degradation.
Mat βΒ Query starting but not finishing that's the issue. Contacted hosting provider and finally WPManageNinja Team ensured the problem is happening from the database and query loading.
Skilled Home SoftΒ if its a shared hosting then there are automated limits for sure (self defence) - so either your server use too much resorces or any other user (bad neighbourhood) who has an account on that shared hosting is causing the slownes/issue because you all use the same db - you cannot destroy it but it will slow you guys down and you will have slow db queries etc IMHO.
Ask your hosting support in a meantime how is that shared hosting and your account performing if possible. They have all necessary tools to verify it (including concurrent connections limits etc) from their end.
Mat βΒ But WPManageNinja Support didn't tell us anything or give us the final solution.
Mat βΒ The site was tested in local host and that was also failed.
Skilled Home SoftΒ If you want to wait then wait so they should respond.
They might also prepare something big for this week so maybe they are crazy busy too.
Hard to tell... Good luck!
btw: how is your Task Scheduler log?
/wp-admin/tools.php?page=action-scheduler
Mat βΒ Unexpected.

What has support tried so far? From a quick couple of Google searches, it looks to me like this site is hosted on a shared hosting account instead of a virtual private server. While that shouldn't automatically mean this feature shouldn't work, a VPS would provide better performance.
Thomas OatesΒ Even dedicated server could be better. But this should be a cause of database query failure.
We have provide main site access to them but no solution yet!
I think our support has responded to your ticket with a solution. Thanks
Shahjahan JewelΒ Dear Jewel bhai, Thanks for your attention. We didn't get any solution yet. Got the last response 7 days back. And we have provided all access of our main website.
Skilled Home SoftΒ Someone will contact with you shortly.
Shahjahan JewelΒ Thank you. Actually, we have started with a lot of hope. Also hired FluentWix to make the feed and the system more scalable but this issue stopped all our process. By the way, hope for the best.
