Why can't I add an image between text?
When creating a new post I can only add an image that appears at the bottom of the post. Is it possible to add an image between the text as part of the post? This would be extremely helpful to add more context to a longer post. Am I missing something or is this currently not possible?
It's strangely possible using a .webp file, or possibly just files that are already in the system. I can copy your image you uploaded for example.

And pop it right here in the middle of some text. But if I copied a jpg it would upload/convert it first and attach it to the bottom. You can likely copy the uploaded image and place it in the post before posting, but then it would be duplicated.
The workaround I use is to publish all the images in a secret space, then copy the image urls and insert them as embedded images. This is the result: https://www.moondoo.it/community/space/blog-viaggio/post/fioritura-dei-ciliegi-in-giappone-quand
A native feature would be much appreciated tho.
Thanks for the tips Ross FCAΒ and @fabio_1. This all seems unnecessarily complicated. Hope they roll out a native feature soon.
I believe I saw Shahjahan JewelΒ mention in a reply here in the community that the way image and video uploads are handled will be changing in a future update. Not 100% sure about this, but I really hope it's true β this is definitely a pain point that needs a native solution.
