Presto Player, when it comes?

We are waiting already long time for Presto Player for courses and posts, why user requests will be still irgnored? Shahjahan Jewel
https://community.wpmanageninja.com/fluentcommunity-roadmp/#/idea/234/

Kevin Heinrichs

Im waiting too, but you have to be relaxed :)

Kristina Bella

Kevin Heinrichs it is requested since 5 months ago with 164 upvotes...

Jonathan Gwyer

It's important to remember that the block editor in FluentCommunity is not the full block editor. Some things might just not happen. Or if they do, there are a lot more important things to do first.

I'm embedding video straight from Bunny.net so although Presto Player would be nice, I don't really need it.

Kristina Bella

Jonathan Gwyer It is more important for us instead of Bunny.net integration, because Presto Player works with Bunny.net too. It has 164 upvotes and placed #1 Roadmap in "User Submitted" - so the community want it but it will be ignored since 5 months!

William Beem

Shahjahan Jewel replied to my comment about this not long ago, stating that he doesn't want to rely on a 3rd party plugin for something like this. I can understand, because you can't control the development of another company and it would leave this product in a bad spot if PrestoPlayer either went out of business or made changes that broke things in FluentCommunity.

Not every request gets approved, and relying on a 3rd party is a reasonable answer to not implementing Presto Player.

Kristina Bella

William Beem The Sure-Team have FluentCommunity added in their SureTriggers few days ago too. So they have to respect each other and for "sure" they still work at Presto Player and give us everytime new updates for it. Time to hear to users (164 upvotes) and start integrate Presto Player in FluentCommunity after +5 months now!

Kristina Bella

Shahjahan Jewel Please let us know now

Karl Emil Nikka

If I understand the roadmap correctly, the answer is already given. Support for Presto Player is currently neither planned nor under consideration. Even though I’m a Presto Player Pro LTD holder, I can understand why WPManageNinja doesn’t want to prioritize including Presto Player. After all, FluentCommuniy has its own frontend instead of WordPress’. Relying on third-party plugins for frontend components will make it harder going forward (for the same reason there’s no Presto Player support in the BuddyBoss app).

Kristina Bella

Karl Emil Nikka Yes you understand roadmap correctly, Shahjahan Jewel is still ignoring what their community want here... So many upvotes, but nothing happening since 5 months

Kristina Bella

Debo Ogunrinde I dont know why Shahjahan Jewel still dont answer here and why this integration is still not planned or in process. Iam sure it is easy and fast to integrate with less coding work, but he still ignore so many upvotes...

Sombri Luna

I think that maybe they are planning in the future to create their own video player integrated to FCommunity.

Personally I like presto payer to be able to insert youtube videos without the annoying watermarks and links that take the user out of the community.

Also although Bunny.net is very cheap I would like to be able to host videos of my free courses on youtube and show them with Presto Player.

And the videos of my premium courses to show them using Bunny.

If Fcommunity integrates its own player would have a lot of future to be able to see the metrics of the videos and would be compatible with the integrations that already exist with Amazon, Clodflare and Bunny.

It would also be nice to be able to control if the user has seen most of the video that you can use a triger to create an automation.

Kristina Bella

Sombri Luna Thats exactly same what I want to do and why I need Presto Player here. Hopeful Shahjahan Jewel stops ignoring that now, but he still dont answer here...

William Beem

Kristina Bella That's not true. Perhaps he didn't answer in this thread, but he did answer this issue in another one where I brought it up. He is aware of the request, but he doesn't want to rely on a 3rd party for something critical to this product. I totally get that.

Guy Levy

Yes please do it already!!!!

Kristina Bella

Guy Levy Waiting for a answer from Shahjahan Jewel about this situation, but he still ignore us 😞

Ramsis Kasis

+1

Kristina Bella

Ramsis Kasis +165 upvotes

Guy Levy

Kristina Bella It makes no sense to me!!!

Kristina Bella

Guy Levy Look in roadmap for Presto Player, it has 165 upvotes already

Guy Levy

Let's do this!@@@!!!

Kristina Bella

Guy Levy Still waiting for a response from Shahjahan Jewel about this situation, but he still ignore us 😞

Kristina Bella

Shahjahan Jewel please answer to your community...

Shahjahan Jewel

We can not build this type of integration until we ship the theme compatibility feature. Also, we plan to add a native player or an addon in the future as I believe a good video player is essential for seamless integration with the CDN services and the community users. With a 3rd party player like presto player, we can't achieve that.

Just a side note for: Kristina Bella

I can understand you love to have this feature but 3rd party integrations are not always straight-forward. But is leaving a 1-star rating on WordPress.org necessary? Our team is working day and night to add the core features and we are improving the plugin in every cycle.

I am sad to see this review by you. You are better than this and I belive the team deserves better feedbacks.

Tim Olukayode

Shahjahan Jewel Thank you for your response. However, I believe that if this concern had been addressed earlier, the situation could have been avoided. Many people likely felt ignored; perhaps unintentionally - especially since other questions and requests within the community have received timely responses.

If I’m not mistaken, this particular feature request has been one of the most highly voted on the roadmap. Given that, it would have been helpful to provide feedback earlier, in a way that was visible to everyone. That way, the community could have understood the situation sooner and adjusted expectations accordingly. (Of course, it’s also possible that you did respond at some point, but many may have missed it.)

To be clear, your efforts in communicating and engaging with the community have been greatly appreciated. That’s precisely why it felt so unusual and, understandably, frustrating for such a critical discussion to go unaddressed for so long.

I hope that with this clarification, everyone now has a better understanding and can move forward.

Thank you again for the great work you do!

Reply from Presto Player support:
Thank you so much for reaching out and for highlighting the growing interest in a Presto Player integration with Fluent Community. My name is Suman, I'm here to assist you today.

We’re excited to hear about the new capabilities being added to Fluent Community — especially the WordPress page display and Template integrations. It’s always great to see LMS platforms evolve to offer creators more flexibility and control.

We really appreciate you bringing the community’s interest to our attention. The fact that the “Add Presto Player videos to course lessons” suggestion has 184 upvotes speaks volumes about the demand and potential value of this integration.

We’d be happy to explore this further and evaluate how Presto Player can best integrate with Fluent Community. Since their development team is open to assisting with the API, that’s a great starting point. We'll review the technical requirements and roadmap to see how we can align this with our priorities.

Thanks again for being such an engaged member of both communities. We’ll keep you updated as we make progress!

it might yet happen 🤷

William Beem

Ushan Boyd Very nice!

Jonathan Gwyer

Ushan Boyd Hmmm...

Ushan Boyd

Jonathan Gwyer that much was obvious, but it strikes me a good tone, I thought anyway.

I have Integration of Presto Player in the FluentCommunity Course 👉 Check out the full step-by-step guide here

Sombri Luna

Hoang Hxn Thank you! It worked well for me.

Sombri Luna

Hoang Hxn I noticed that the Div didn't adapt to the player. It jumped abruptly when I zoomed out.

Also, it wasn't necessary to hide the admin bar for me, as the Admin role (personal preference), but I did hide the AdminBar for the other roles. I did this because it shifted the top margin of the header I had set up with Elementor.

So I adapted it like this:

Sombri Luna

Code Fluent Snippets :

/* Ocultar header y barra de administración solo para usuarios NO autenticados */
body:not(.admin-bar) header,
body:not(.admin-bar) #wpadminbar {
  display: none !important;
}

/* Eliminar el espacio alrededor del bloque de video */
.single-pp_video_block .pp-video {
  padding: 0 !important;
}

/* Establecer el radio del borde del reproductor en 0 (esquinas afiladas) */
:root {
  --presto-player-border-radius: 0px !important;
}

/* Ajustar margen superior solo si la barra de administración no está presente */
body.admin-bar {
  margin-top: 0;
}

body:not(.admin-bar) {
  margin-top: -10px;
}

/* Ajustar el contenedor del video para responsividad continua */
.pp-video-container {
  position: relative;
  width: 100%;
  aspect-ratio: 16 / 9;
  overflow: hidden;
  border-radius: 12px;
  box-shadow: 0 4px 12px rgba(0,0,0,0.1);
}

/* Ajustar el iframe para que se adapte sin cortes ni bordes negros */
.pp-video-container iframe {
  width: 100%;
  height: 100%;
  border: none;
  object-fit: contain;
}

/* Optimizar visualización del video en pantallas pequeñas */
<a data-user_name="media" class="fcom_mention fcom_route" href="https://community.wpmanageninja.com/portal/u/media/">Media Rocketeer</a> screen and (max-width: 600px) {
  .pp-video-container {
    max-width: 420px !important;
    margin: 0 auto;
  }
}

Sombri Luna

Code HTML :

<div style="position: relative; width: 100%; aspect-ratio: 16 / 9; overflow: hidden; border-radius: 12px; box-shadow: 0 4px 12px rgba(0,0,0,0.1);">
  <iframe
    src="https://yourdomain.com/path-to-your-instant-video-page"
    allowfullscreen
    loading="lazy"
    scrolling="no"
    style="width: 100%; height: 100%; border: none; object-fit: contain;">
  </iframe>
</div>

Sombri Luna Thanks for your feedback, You can use it however you want. My tutorial is just an initial idea 😏
