FluentCommunity 1.0.95 Update and LTD End Date
We just released an awesome update of this plugin. We mostly worked on all the bug reports and feature improvement suggestions. Please note, the team is also working on some features that you have suggested.
What's new and exciting:
- New Privacy Settings: Now you can control who can access the global members' area and Space level as well.
- Messaging App Now supports markdown

It would be really awesome if we could integrate the functionalities of other plugins. For example to be able to include a form via Fluent Forms, a video player via Presto, etc. I still don't get why it's a WordPress plugin, if we can't take advantage of other WordPress plugins. Andrei Dumitru Because the UI of FluentCommunity is a React app build on top of WordPress. The UI / UX is nothing like what you will get with wordpress theme etc. So a simple shortcode that inserts the presto player for instance can't simple be handled, and it may break the custom UI that FluentCommunity is focused upon.
Its hard to expect to have the same speed and usability in the UI if FluentCommunity was not that separated from WordPress. In time the team will find a way to open for third party plugins, but they can't simply open the gates because the thousands of wordpress plugins that outputs html will flood the need for support.
- There is still the issue with the floating bottom nav menu for Mobile - the bottom nav bar shows not at the bottom but a little bit higher sometimes (especially when the top Header is not displayed - only the subheader is always displayed. In this case we need to turn phone to the horizontal view and then back to the vertical view to fix the issue)
- There is a typo in the Email Settings "Fleunt"
This email footer will be used to send all the emails sent from FleuntCommuntiy.
- When displaying a single Space settings there is no go back button on Mobil

Mat yes few admin screens are not mobile ready yet. We focused on the end user's UI first.
Shahjahan Jewel issue with the bottom nav bar is still not fixed
Case scenario: the three comment text field is scrolled to the bottom of the mobile screen so the Mobile keyboard will cover it once activated then with each key press the screen is moving up.
@wordpress will check it out.

I have noticed that changing the user name was not reflected in the Leaderboard so probably if someone would take my username in a meantime then the Leaderboard would belong to other user now.
I was not even asked to provide my current password when changing the UserName (it is a really bad practide - it is enough just to get someone email notification with the magic link so anyone who posses it can harn the user accountt/data etc. Any DBA Officer whoulnd be happy when reviewing security related procedures).

Shahjahan Jewel Yeah. I just change my to a really short one "w" here - I am not sure if this is OK but I believe we should not allow short usernames (unless they are Premium users etc).

Shahjahan Jewel AH, I got it. I need to click 'change' first, and then will the input field become editable. This is poor UI in my opinion (I'd expect to type into the input field first, then click on the command; not to issue a command and go back to fill the parameter for that command).
Also: when editing the name, I see a message below the input stating Please choose a username matching with your first/last name or full name but such check is not performed or enforced.
Personally, I think it is too much of a restriction and it shouldn't be fixed at programmatic level. Let each community decide their rules about names and handles.
Shahjahan Jewel maybe it is good to take -50 likes for changing the name (if user dont have it then sorry haha). Also maybe it would be good to autopost the change into a Space so users will see when a user change the name etc... UserName log/changes could be good for tracking names changes etc
Ivan Arnaudov I hope we won't have too many Admins, Roots, Apple, BadWords, Jewels etc now (try to use international characters so you can pretend you have second @ Admin username etc) but also probably other challenges with changing the username.
There should be a limit of username changes (max 3 in the lifetime and not less than 14 or 30 days - wondering if a SPAMMY actor will join and do the mess then change userName and asking to delete the account - User Data deletion is required by GDPR where in the same easy way user should be able to.delete his data etc).

Shahjahan Jewel Are Circle type "Workflows" available? Or will they be at some point? Circle requires a minimum of $199 per month to make Bulk updates on users, which is crazy expensive just to edit members in bulk.
Robert Lee currently we have some bulk actions options via FluentCRM but we will have it's own analytics and bulk actions.

But from what I saw the email RTL compatibility was not implemented. Am I right or was this suppose to work now?
Also, before the update emails were sent with the translated string as they were translated in Loco (just LTR). Now the emails are strictly in English.
On the bright side - the bug the emails were not being sent when a new comment was added - was fixed and is working properly.
Also - still the strings "Messages" and "Search..." and untranslatable.
Another problem with the chat - messages aren't shown "online". Only if I refresh the page will the new messages appear. It can't really function as a chat this way.
Another problem with the chat - the "Active Now" string is untranslatable. And also - the green indication is not positioned correctly.
One question : we can make a member be a moderator/admin of a specific space. How to do the same for a course (one specifically) ?
