I see there's a FrontEnd Portal option, I'm guessing for clients assigned to their project.I know I can install the beta plugin but before I go that route, could you explain how this works for a client.
If I install on a dedicated projects.mydomain.com for example, would they login via the standard WordPress login form and then be directed to their board via the FrontEnd Portal?
Yes that's the idea. Basically, you will create a board. As your customer as a board member and then they can access the board and do things based on their permission.
