I now have a 4GB with 2 cpu's at Digital Ocean in Cloudways. it cost 46$ a month. I'm thinking whether to upgrade to a 60$ a month Vultr server, high frequency with 4GB Ram and 2 cpu's, at Cloudways, or a 50$ a month Vultr server, high frequency with 8GB Ram and 4 cpu's at 50$ a month at xCloud. Obviously, the xCloud server is cheaper and twice as powerful. But Cloudways offers Object Cache Pro free as part of it's plan.
What do you think would be better?
Mind you that I have a LearnDash website (also woocommerce and various Fluent products - fcrm, community, boards etc', and plugins such as uncanny automator).
Hi,
It seems I canβt write a slightly longer reply here β a display bug occurs.
There is something really frustrating. I update all my plugins first in a staging environment so as to not break my live site in case of some problem with any update to any plugin (or incompatibility among them).
The problem is that the fluent pro plugins do not let me update on the staging environment.
I understand that there is a licensing thing, but most plugins just whitelist common subdomain names used for staging like https://staging.mysite.com
or
https://test.mysite.com (that's mine)
I could potentially download each plugin update from the wpmanageninja site - but if I had to do that for all my plugins - I would have to quit my job for that.
Please then just whitelist the subdomain names common for staging. Thank you.
Hello everyone,
We need to talk! Seriously, what is this about?
After purchasing 50 lifetime licenses for Fluent Community, I discovered that the course system doesn't include quizzes. Which means: no learner evaluation, no progress tracking. That's... surprising, to say the least.
Similarly, it's impossible to natively manage different access durations for the same course. For example: 6 months of access for one type of user (e.g. individuals), 12 months for another (e.g. professionals). Basic stuff, no?
I asked questions in the community space and got various answers:
For quizzes:
- "It will be integrated one day..."
- "Use FluentForm."
For access duration:
- "Use FluentCRM."
Yesterday, since this is now becoming urgent, I decided to give it a go and try to patch things up using FluentCRM and FluentForm. I bought a pro version of both plugins, not knowing if they'll actually solve the problem.
First observation: At Ninja, unless I missed something, you canβt buy two plugins in one go. You have to purchase one, then go back and buy the other. Thatβs a pretty odd purchase flow.
Second observation: FluentForm quizzes donβt really fit within Fluent Community. Sure, they can be embeddedβbut the results and practice time aren't integrated into FC. These are more like data collection forms than actual learning assessments.
As for FluentCRM, I still have to figure out how it could possibly manage course access duration, which will cost me more timeβon top of the four months I already waited just to be able to properly translate FluentCommunity.
To be honest, I didnβt need a 50-site license. And this is the first time Iβve spent this much on a plugin. But I wanted to trust you, support your work, and invest in your vision. Thatβs also why I went ahead and bought FluentCRM and FluentFormβto try and compensate for the major gaps (quizzes and access durations) in FC.
I know development takes time and moneyβand money doesnβt grow on trees. But a plugin like Fluent Community should natively include quizzes and access duration management. These are not βnice-to-havesβ; theyβre essential features.
Just to double-check, I even asked ChatGPT what core features a course plugin should include. Guess whatβs at the top of the list? Quizzes.
(Here's the link, English version below the French one: https://chatgpt.com/c/68120f6a-7490-800c-8a8c-ecc94784053d)
Maybe Fluent Community was launched a little too earlyβbut I get it, revenue needs to come in, bills need to be paid, teams need to be fed.
Ladies and gentlemen, please donβt take this as an attack on your work or its quality. If I thought it wasnβt worth it, I would have asked for a refund and never looked back. Instead, I bought more plugins. I believe in what youβre buildingβand thatβs exactly why Iβm taking the time to write this.
But letβs be honest: Fluent Community is currently missing some key features for even basic usage.
Best regards,
David
I'm watching the video attached here, and I see something that either wasn't explained or I don't understand.
The video shows how to create options for the payment using radio selections. You can see them at timestamp 3:02.
After switching to the Confirmation Message to update it with a link, the display changes; instead of Radio selections, you can now see boxes at timestamp 3:40.
Those boxes look much better, but how did they get this appearance?
Wondering if there is a bit more information about how to use the redirect url
In the documention it says:
"Alternatively, you can check the βPass Field Data Via Query Stringβ option and simply add the shortcode. The data will then be passed with the URL link according to the shortcode you have placed."
I understand how the query strings work in terms of them appearing in the URL link and that they can be used to pass data, but I'm confused about what shortcode to use and also if it's possible at all for the URL to use the custom information.
Im getting an issue with Fluent forms updating user profile with the User Registration or Update Integration mainly with the checkboxes and wanted to see if anyone else is facing the same issue.
Shahjahan JewelΒ Please fix warning for loading translation too early in recent WordPress version 6.7 for all products of the Fluent ecosystem https://make.wordpress.org/core/2024/10/21/i18n-improvements-6-7/
I offer a free 30 minutes consultation. I want to block the ability for someone with an email that has already booked a meeting - to book another one. Is that possible?
I need to be able to prioritize my sales people so that calls go to the most experienced salesperson available first.
This Fluent article discusses it but doesnβt show it as an option in FluentBooking.
Is weighted round robin an option in FluentBooking?
