Between Fluent Forms Pro and Paymattic, what's everyone using?
I know FFP already has Fluent Community integration, which is cool, but there's no payment dashboard. I need a way for students to manage their own subscriptions. Paymattic has the dash but no Community stuff.
Paymattic has a lifetime licensing option going on right now that I'd invest in if I knew there's a future.
Does anyone have the official scoop?

We have a different vision for Paymattic. Basically, we want to add advanced payment-related features to Paymattic, More regional-based payment methods, Advanced Payment or subscription management systems, etc. It will be a kind of Payment framework where you can build custom solutions using the core processor. For example, if You want to enroll your users for your favorite LMS courses, You can use Paymattic as it's super easy for end-users to make the payment. Like on our site, We use Paymattic for custom payments for upgrade packages.
On the other hand, Fluent Form's payment is something like other forms (for example gravity forms) payment module where you can accept basic payments.

i haven’t tested its use yet, but maybe using webhooks could do it for now? Until the proper integration comes as it’s bound to.
Gerard Godin hey, what are you thinking regarding the webhooks? I hadn't thought about that, but yeah I could receive Stripe info via a webhook. But then what would I do with it from there? Was considering something like Flowmattic to automate things. Uncanny is too expensive.

Gerard Godin so it's really just back to the payment plugin. I want to use Paymattic as it has the dashboard and is WPMN. But don't want to dump into a lifetime license and have them not integrate.
kyler boudreau What are you trying to achieve? Wouldn’t the workflow be “Pay with Paymattic” and then whatever you want to do next by going through FluentCRM?
Gerard Godin I'm trying to do what Fluent Forms Pro already does, but have a customer dashboard. Obviously Paymattic has that, but doesn't have the Community integration FFP has. So I'm in this weird middle ground. But they just told me Paymattic will have community integration soon.

Heard back from support. They said a user dashboard for Fluent Forms Pro is on the horizon, but what will happen sooner is Fluent Community integration for Paymattic: "The Fluent Forms team has confirmed that a user dashboard feature is in their plans for future updates. While this will take some more time to implement. At the moment, I’m unable to provide an exact timeline for when it will be available, but it’s definitely something to look forward to.
In the meantime, we are working on launching a native integration between Fluent Community and Paymattic within just a few days. This plugin includes a user dashboard feature that can help you manage user subscriptions, offering an alternative solution for your payment needs.

kyler boudreau i’ve used PayMattic only once so far IRL. It was for a weekend event, some kind of fundraiser. Was a few years ago and it worked quite well.
Please, someone help me: what's the difference between paymattic, fluent forms, and ninja table? Don't they all take payments and have pretty much the same capabilities? Please, I will appreciate your insights. Thank you in advance.
Tobi Akiode I use Fluent Forms Pro for community registration/payment. Paymattic offers more in terms of subscriptions. You can choose 6-month, etc. while FFP offers only monthly and annual. Another big difference is Paymattic has an end user dashboard where they can manage their subscriptions. FFP does not. I tried Paymattic, but I don't like it as much as FFP. The dashboard was sweet, but the form builder and such just feels different than FFP. Also...FFP is designed for other more indepth form actions while Paymattic is really focused on payment forms.

This has continued to confuse me and in fact, I just responded to the ninja team asking for more as the response sounded scripted. @Kyler, the challenge I'm having is understanding why they are different making it difficult to understand whether I need both or if I already have one (like I do have FluentForms Pro), do I need the other (paymattic)? It's a bit unclear/confusing to have 2 products doing exactly the same thing with a slight overlap. I will appreciate your feedback to help straighten my understanding. Thank you in advance.
Tobi Akiode if you have fluent forms pro you DO NOT need Paymattic. The only reason to use Paymattic IMO is:
1) You want a user dashboard so people can manage their payments.
2) You want to see subscriptions other than monthly or annual. Paymattic allows you to setup 6-month, etc.
I WISH they would scrap Paymattic and make them one product. IMO FFP is more of a polished experienced.
