Looking for ways to automate your community engagement?
Hey FluentCommunity family!
I wanted to share something that's been a total game-changer for my community management workflow. As someone who runs multiple communities, I was spending way too much time manually creating polls and scheduling content to keep members engaged.
Then I discovered I could connect Claude Desktop (that AI assistant) directly to FluentCommunity through FlowMattic's MCP Server. The results? Mind-blowing.
Here's what I can do now:
- Give Claude a simple prompt like "create 4 engaging polls for my tech community"
- It automatically generates polls, schedules them across multiple days
- Uses FluentCommunity's scheduling feature (Pro) to space everything perfectly
- Creates content that actually matches my community's vibe and topics
The real kicker? What used to take me 2-3 hours of brainstorming, writing, and scheduling now happens in about 5 minutes. I just tell Claude what I want, and it handles the rest through FluentCommunity's API.
In this video walkthrough, I show:
- Live demo of the AI creating multiple polls at once
- The 5-step automation workflow behind the scenes
- How it integrates seamlessly with FluentCommunity's features
- Why this works so much better than trying to automate Facebook Groups (spoiler: their APIs are basically dead)
Why I'm sharing this: I know how much work goes into keeping a community engaged. Consistent content is crucial, but it's exhausting to do manually. This approach lets you focus on the strategic stuff - connecting with members, planning events, building relationships - while the routine content creation runs itself.
For the technical folks: This uses FluentCommunity's existing API endpoints, so everything stays within your WordPress environment. No external dependencies or data concerns.
Curious to see how it works? I recorded the entire process, from giving Claude the prompt to seeing the scheduled posts appear in FluentCommunity.
Have you tried any automation with your FluentCommunity setup? I'd love to hear what workflows other community managers are using. Always looking for new ideas to make our lives easier!
Shahjahan JewelΒ I would love to get your thoughts on this and also if we can collaborate for the FluentCart integration as well :)
P.S. - This obviously requires FluentCommunity Pro for the scheduling features, but if you're running an active community, that investment pays for itself in time saved.
This is pretty cool.
MCP π
D@vidΒ There's some misunderstanding being spread about the MCP Servers possibilities of getting hacked etc. MCP server can only be accessed by the AI Agents you've connected to and can only execute the tools you have added to your MCP server. In this case, let's assume you're using FlowMattic MCP server, and using Claude Desktop as your AI Agent to connect to your MCP server. Now, let's assume you add the MCP tool that I showed in the above video that adds some polls to your FluentCommunity. Now, unless you give your MCP server URL to anyone, it is simply not possible for someone to guess it and get access to it for any kind of hacking purpose. Even if you give your FlowMattic MCP server URL to anyone, they can only execute the Tools you have added to your MCP server, and nothing else, as the MCP tool execution is already secured and allowed to execute only the tools that are registered, and that too when the specific data parameters are passed to the tool. Even that person manages to pass the exact data parameters, and you found that he's doing something with your MCP server, you can just set the MCP server disabled, and no action will be performed after that, so the MCP server is pretty much secure and does no harm unless someone has access to the URL and you have any MCP tool that might cause serious harm, which is simply not possible.
If you go to another MCP server like Zapier, where they let you create MCP server directly connected to the authenticated apps, it can do serious harm to your connected apps, if someone got access to your MCP server URL. But in case of FlowMattic, we don't connect anything directly to your authenticated apps, so the risk of getting direct harm is pretty much less here.
We are using the MCP server daily, and since we implemented it, we save so many hours of work and have seen a lot of productivity improvement as well. When you are using any MCP server, just treat it as a password that you do not share with anyone, and you're secure. No need to worry :)
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, and I will be open to discuss it :)
wow
Iβve automated posting content using FC endpoints - but you still canβt add an image using the endpoint, it only supports adding a video. Iβve requested support for adding images be added a few times, please Shahjahan JewelΒ
Coffs TrailsΒ Have you tried using FlowMattic? We have added the support to set the featured image dynamically and now the embed also works with any video hosting provider including Vimeo, Wistia, Youtube etc. Let me know if you have any questions.
Nitin YawalkarΒ Sadly we are a not-for-profit community organisation with a very limited budget so canβt afford flowmattic
Coffs TrailsΒ DM me with your budget and Iβll arrange a license for your organisation π
Canβt wait to try this
can u show us the mcp tool created? the video it's not clear. p.s. ive' just purchased a lifetime agency license
p.s. when i click on capture response in the first block, nothing is captured, but in the mcp tool history i see the posts. the mcp tool is correctly configure with the proper workflow
Tindaro BattagliaΒ I just replied to your ticket. You first need to click the capture response, and then send the data, so it will be captured. I have also attached the screenshot of the MCP tool created for this video and workflow. Sorry, I missed that in the video.
Thanks for your purchase. I'm sure you will love FlowMattic as much as we do.
Nitin YawalkarΒ just watched the video didnβt see hi wet you can post to different spaces.
Can that be done? If so can that be automated?
Thanks
Adam GeorgeΒ Yes. Both the 'Create New Poll in Feed' and 'Create New Post in Feed' actions in FlowMattic allow for selecting the desired space. And I think you could pass in the ID of the space so the action isn't hardcoded for one particular space.
Adam GeorgeΒ Yes, you can post to different spaces as per your requirements, and even you can make it dynamic by prompting your AI to use any space from the list before it sends the call to MCP tool, and then in your workflow, you can use Lookup Table to pick the space id dynamically, and use it in the FluentCommunity integration step. In video, at 4:14, you see the screen for the step 5 config where the first option is the Space ID. I used the static value, but it can easily set to be dynamic as well :)
Wow this is insane!!! Thanks for sharing π
I think a better value is linking blog catagories to spaces. I would much rather have a side bar that tracks a category in my blog. this blog posts are already automated to social media accounts, this just duplicates content or adds extra unnecessary steps.
I feel the spaces and courses are for community engagement. the blog is for sharing ideas.
Breadcrumbs - following :-)
Nitin YawalkarΒ is it possible to do this with multiple users?
Jeff BrigmanΒ You mean creating post with multiple users as post author? Yes, that's possible :)
Nitin YawalkarΒ yes sir. Great news, I will be testing this out soon.
Hi Nitin YawalkarΒ , cool video and concept.. has me thinking. As a noob with no AI experience (willing to dive in) can your tool schedule other content instead of just polls? For example can it scrape/RSS and pipe in specific articles for a niche, or youtube videos? I think polls are practical in my community but need other content from different online sources... seeking simple way to aggregate and pull in relatable material to share with members.
Insta Net β Β Fortunately, we do have both - RSS and Youtube triggers, which can be easily used to automate content creation on your site π
Nitin YawalkarΒ any more info to read? Landing page link, or youtube vid on feature. THank you π
