Looking for suggestions on how I should use faffiliate
I know I should be doing affiliate marketing, but I don't know where to start, and would love suggestions. I am starting a business that will have an e-commerce side selling my smart home products. That is easier to understand how to use affiliates, because there is a transaction to link to the referral, but still not sure how to find affiliates in the first place. basically the same way I find customers int he first place? advertise for that?
I also have a local service area for my IT support and smart home services, and want to encourage local builders, architects, big box home improvement stores pro desk, remodelers, etc to not just refer me, but send me out to do smart home work they don't want to do, as a subcontractor. That may be the secret sauce to super growth of my startup, but still trying to figure out how to implement all that, and how faffiliate can be used to make that happen.
Happy customers are a good source of affiliates. They know your products and brand. If they can already recommend it because they like what you offer, then that's a good place to start.

So I can setup faffiliate in a way that if a certain person buys a local service product, ever, then the one that refers them will get a reward? in that customer situation, I would like to have something like a coupon for the referrer and the referral
Im sorry. I just dont know enough about your business model. Since you are localized to a specific area then an affiliate plugin may not help, unless you are selling self install products, however, if I were selling local home services then I would probably look more into local SEO in order to promote my site.
